If you try hard enough you can do damn most anything you set your mind on. The question in this case would be, WHY WOULD YOU?

Shoveling snow does funny things to one's brain:rolleyes:.

I wouldn't, yet. Maybe after a few more feet of snow.

Does anyone else think there's no way the spokes on that mail 'A' would take the side load with those welded on rims and tractor tires?
It looks like they reinforced the back wheel with some steel strap.

I can see doing one of the 66A pickups as a 4WD. Late model independent with the pumpkin attached to the front crossmember, stock ride height. Four banger with 5 speed transmission or maybe something a little more exotic like a quad cam six, who knows. Stock body outside except for the steel roof cab modified to slanted windshield posts (like the prototype one made for General Electric) with the stock full width box and deluxe features (p***enger car nickel plated radiator shell, plated head lights, cowl lights, etc), wheels and tires reminiscent of General Jumbos. Would just have to paint that ****er appliance white and restore an old time fridge to put in the back.

And also Glen , .....the front and rear diffs were not out of the same vehicle , one was a different ratio compared to the other , and when Bob B got the truck running and put it into 4 wheel drive , she bucked and hopped all over my driveway , the rear wanted to overtake the front , ......... also he went to the northern most tip of Australia in it, and broke the R/H ch***is rail at the firewall clean in half , I think that was the time I got a phone call at 3am , asking me to help fix it , he's only 3000 miles away , told to chain it up , front diff to middle crossmember , it stayed that way for a long time , we had some wild parts chasing trips in that thing

In the middle nineteen nineties I built a '30 closed cab fully fendered pick up on a '90 Toyota Forunner 4 wheel drive ch***is with a 262 cube V6 chevy for a customer in Victoria , Australia , the ch***is had independent front with horizontal torsion bars and the top of the rails were virtually flat , making it ideal to accept the Model A body and also the wheelbase was nearly identical to the stock A , 103 1/2" , my ex missus has got the photos somewhere , ......which reminds me , dunno whatever happened to that little truck

I was referring to the Model A with Toyota axles under it;), not the pictured Model T with Model T axles under it.:)

There was a maroon Modeal a Cab built up a few years ago with some Dana 60's under it as well as some 44" swampers. I have been looking for it, but can't find it.

If you wish to sacrifice an A, why not just run it through a wood chipper?

FWIW, both my Brother and my Father have something called a "Gl***ic".
They are fibergl*** replicas built here in West Palm Beach in the 60's and early 70's.
In the 60s, they were built using International Scout frames and drivetrains. The transfer case and front axle were removed and the front was replaced with a non 4wd unit however, the vehicle itself is the same dimentions as the org Model A.
My father dropped a 307 out of a Nova in his and my big brother..
Well, we just put a 350 out of a 1970 Z28 in his.
The 4X4 rear end is tough enough to not snap under lots of HP and torque.
    Good luck with your creation.

I can't believe I'm posting this. I have no idea really why I saved it in my hard drive....
I didn't think I could find this and post it before the thread was closed, but I did...

Simple answer to that is Why Not? Hate to tell you this, but people have different minds than some of you. Meaning, if I buy something, that car is now mine. I can do anything Iw ant with it.

The purists out there are giving you guys a hard time for chopping up your ride, and making something different from it. See the 4 wheel drive as their expression of themselves.
