Don't know if everyone knows about these guys, but they have lot's and lot's of 30's thru 70's parts. Ofco****, a set of lifters for my olds 324 costs as much as a whole rebuild kit for a 350 chev! Might come in handy for some of you though. I got their free catalouge, pretty cool art in there.

They have some stuff you can't get anywhere else. Cool place. If you own a packard their catalog is the bible.

I have gotten a few things from them but it always seem to take a long time. Strange as we both reside in Jersey. My bible is MACS Auto.

Apparantly their warehouse is a true work of art. It's an old timber building stacked floor to ceiling with NOS goodies, mainly Packard stuff.

superdude, you should also check out Fusick.com, they have an insane amount of really hard to find olds stuff, light lenses, engine parts ect. they are a licensed reproducer of olds parts.

I've gotten a lot of parts from Kanter for my Olds. If not for them and Fusick's, the Olds would never make it out of the garage. Prices can be a little steep, but the quality is usually first rate.

I've been pleased with everything I've bought from them, plus the little drawings of "phantom" cars throughout their catalog are pretty neat.

If you do some checking locally many times you can buy the same thing for less money. But it does require you to do some digging instead of looking at a website or catalogue. For instance where I live I can buy new frt or rear springs for less than Kanters price. Many times you can buy the same part from NAPA and get it quicker and cheaper

And they don't just have what's in the catalogs.

The warehouse is LOADED with stock from dealers and parts stores that they have been buying out for years.

They got one whole floor of one building just for carbs!!!!

A lot of the brake and suspention stuff is repro.

Most of the engine stuff is NOS, but pistons and wear parts are repro , too. But good stuff, If Fred and Dan wouldn't use it in their cars, they ain't sellin it to you.

1 more vote for Kanter. I recently received an order from Kanter (which only took 4 days) and prices were amazingly low. I got 2 wheel cylinders and brake hardware kit to my door for $86 total with shipping. The cheapest I could find wheel cylinders locally was $50 and that was juust for one. The brake hardware was obsolete locally also.

Sweet. It's always good to hear good things about a place. I have yet to order from them, but I was impressed with their inventory. And it seems the catalouge only scratches the surface, cool!

Hmmmm, this is the first time I've heard good things about them. I personally have never used them based on many horror stories I've heard from the locals. I have used some of there suppliers and havent had an issue. Maybe I'll give them a shot.

I've bought parts from them. No problems.

  26. I got a front end rebuilt kit and the parts were very sub-standard.

I was very disappointed, and now need to rebuild again.

i like kanter...especially because they're like 20 minutes away from my house and when you need something quick its a good place to have around!
never had a problem, sure its a bit pricy but wtf I cant go anywhere around here and get a master cylinder for my car and the place has it in stock. they gave me some bushings for my frontend for free today, so yeah their nice people in my book!

  28. YOur local Autoparts store can order from Rare Parts and such to find much of the same thing.

id rather go there pick up the part, go home put in, and off i go, prices arent that insane, my master cylinder was basically the same price that local places were gonna charge me, just couldnt get it same day. shoeboxes have wild master cylinders!
