They do look good also. It also says it's a mens/womens bike, which probably mean it's bigger, which I like that idea. I can't find a price for them though. I may have seen something that they are around $450 though... not sure, will keep posted. Rear wheel is a 24 and running a 20 up front.

2. I got an late 80's Predator... the frame was actually the most decent part. The accessories were pretty much junk, but the frame held up better that both of the HARO's I had, a sport and a master. I built my Predator up with everything off a Dyno a buddy of my got rid of, and it was a pretty bad ass bike, on the dirt. Was too hard to do flatland stuff with, the rear triangle was definately set up for racing, not freestyle.

As a bike assemble for WalMart, I took it for a spin in the back. We had 3 show up so far and have a long waiting list at our store. So we aren't even putting them on the floor. They are cheaply made, but look cool. The rear is so wide it was hard to tune.

I've joined the ranks of Walmart drones, unfortunatly. I do stocking at night, and one of those was just built yesterday. I dunno... felt pretty solid to me, I goofed around with it for a bit. I like it a lot... I'm stuck between that an customizing that cool ass Bratz bike. [IMG]

Hey Scooter......... sell it on e-gay and make some cash. I was told by the Schwinn rep that they are making 60,000 of them. None of them are a limited color unless you believe everything you read. It will take a while to get the market flooded but you know anything that is sold in Wal-Mart will never be collectible. The chrome were suppose to be for Wally-World and the black are for ToysrUs. The green are for Independent Bicycle Dealers. Do not know about the blue or red.
We've talked about this subject before and the Giant and the Nirve cruiser will be out soon. Much better and supports real America.

I have a Giant Stilletto ordered. Giant said they should arrive in about a week or 2. I'll post pics when I get it. It has a raw frame that's been clercoated with a flat black tank and fenders with white pinstripes on them. Much cooler than the goofy Schwinns.

speaking of large department stores selling 'cool' bikes, here in Aust. one of the dept. stores here was selling lowrider/chopper type bikes,20" wheels with whitewalls, chrome frame with ape hangers etc. They were cheap at $200 AU(US$150?)a few guys I know bought them and changed the crap parts for quality stuff. There is a bunch of us that ride every friday throught the local nightspots and cause a little mayhem, some with Dynos,Electras, old choppers etc.
How much are those giant stilleto choppers?

The Bratz bike, hehehe. It's a basic boys lowrider with girly stickers. It's a cheap way to go, and it's purple. [IMG] I'm selling the chopper I just made to a 18 year old co-worker. I am going to start the next one, and it will blow your socks off. It will be a showstopper. After I get my car back on the road of course.

I'm not sure what the retail on the Giant is. I manage a bike shop so I'm getting it for dealer cost which is around $275 if I remember correctly. I ordered it about 3 months ago. I think retail is around $425.

I just saw a kid on one of those the other day and was wondering what it was!

Okay, it makes sense now. For me, a Stingray will always conjure up images of the original. ...but I'm kinda glad to see them trying to carry on the tradition.

Better yet, is that maybe it'll get kids back outside and away from their gaming systems for a while.

Choppers are about self expression though. For adults, there's no excuse for not making one of your own:
