Just got back from yet another business trip to Japan. This time, however, I made time to stop by Paradise Road Rod Shop while I was in Nagoya. I am so glad I did. Many of you may already know of Paradise Road and it's owner Junichi Shimodaira (Jun) and the ride the put him on the map the 'Rod'Riguez. On some good advice (thanks Cruiser), I emailed Jun and asked about visiting during my trip. He welcomd me in like an old friend. He had just returned from a trip to LA two days before and was feeling a bit under the weather, but he gave me the run of the shop and answered a ton of questions. I got to see the Galaxian show rod that he'd just displayed at the Mooneyes Show and saw several more cars and projects in his shop. If you ever get the chance to meet Jun, don't p*** it up. He's definitely one of the good guys in our hobby. - RBR

Bill, Good to hear from you. We definitely have fond memories from last year's Cinematic. I hope to make Brian's get together in '08, but I am travelling a lot for work. I have two more trips to Japan coming up soon. I'm pretty sure we'll make the Autorama in Detroit. How about you? I hope you have a happy holiday as well. Oh yeah, AJ says hi! Awesome! I've seen his work in print. The drive and energy of our friends across the big pond is second to none.
