Chino is the coolest place to go for inspiration. I worked there for about 5 years painting planes. I still go there and hang around with my friend that has a shop there building P-51's. I highly recommend it. If you cruise around the field you will see LOTS of stuff that you just can't see anywhere else.
Lucky invited me along but I was too blown out from that shoot, being sick and all.. Glad you had a good time. I've been but it's been years.. Happy Birthday Bob! R
i`m no expert but i think that is the supermarine s6b schneider trophy winner from back in the 30`s...went over 400 mph i think...the full size version has been restored
If you notice, in the shot with the Russian Jeep, theres a Mig 21 in the background. Might be one I helped rebuid, not sure. 'nuther FINE museum(no fliers tho) is at HillAFB outside of Ogden Utah.
Jai and I went there a while ago. Its a great spot to go. Why am I not suprised that you came back with something awesome??? Leave it to you.....
The Cavanaugh Museum at Addison Airport is worth a look for you Tejas guys. They also have, or useta, rides in a Stearman . It aint no fork tailed devil, but it suits my pocket better. Being out in the breeze is neat.
