Shoot, you guys beat me to the "plethera" monologue. Welcome, from another norcal'er Nads you popped yer blister, no Elky's for you.
Let's see, goo, ok, just not in the face... humboldt cat - So far what I have on the Elky is that it rolled off a dealership in Los Angeles, from the plant designated with an "L", (tryin to trace what city that L represents) came originally with an 8 and 3 speed, but not sure what size 8, looks like it's been repainted it's original color (Roman Red), It's got a 350/350 from a Blazer as far as I can tell, got all the original gauges, plus a spare set, dash is all original uncut, wiring is REAL custom, dude that sold it to me gave me new front gl***, a bigger master cylinder (the one in there now is the size of a peanut), and the appropriate column for the auto ******... Right off the bat I needed a new carrier bearing and u joints for the drive line, and im tryin to locate a ****** fluid leak, gotta mount the external atf cooler instead of leavin it hangin down in the inside of the bumper... Other than that minor **** it's pretty much a driver til i get the time/cash to take it all the way down... Part of Nor Cal, Sackamento... chaco - got one AB left outta two, she's a Rode Hawg dog from Capron, Illinois, male was a sure grip/hines mix as fer tha guns, got a few older remington and browning huntin rifles, and the most recent "special interest" weapon i got is a baby eagle .40... tryin to get a pic a mah spokes up... thanks all for the warm and fuzzy welcome *gulp*
Velkommen, I really dig the drip bucket you have under that Hawg Very conciensious of you to keep the drip offuv peoples concrete!
Welcome compadre' I believe the L stands for los Angeles.could be Southgate,or good 'ol Van Nuys. My father worked at Van Nuys during those years. Nice to see the Elkie in great shape, and hope you drive the piss out of it. Have a doubble ,doubble for me, Sparky
welcome to the HAMB! Like your 59. I've got a 59 Elky myself. Let me know if you have any questions, or I may have some myself for that matter. Check it out!
Welcome also from a fellow People's Republik of Northern Kalifornia citizen. Nice looking 59 you have, I just picked up a 59 as well, but mine needs more work than yours. E-mail Travis, he is right in your area and also has a stash of 59/60 parts, he might be able to help you out.
Welcome! Love the El Camino. Now, first off, I think you should know that Rashy tries to put the hustle on everyone with a '59 ElCamino. He'll say sweet things in your ear and promise special treatment in the cl***ifieds section. Don't listen to him. To make a REAL impression on this board you should sign the ***le over to me, deliver the car to my house (with a full tank of gas) and I'll do everything in my power to see that your treated with RESPECT around here. Just don't ask what I might be able to do for you, it's a secret, and I'm not at liberty to divulge the details. Just trust me, and after I get the Camino, it will become very clear. Frank
