so, my buddy calls me and tells me his dad is finally gonna sell his stude. i looked at this truck 10 yrs ago, and had to have it. finally, somebody who actually did call me first when they decided to sell something!! anyway, since i last saw it, it was moved out into a field where it sat for quite a while. from the pics he sent, it looks to have taken it's toll. the truck is on an s-10 frame, with a gm tilt column. power steering/brakes, olds 403 from a trans am of the late 70's fare, backed with a "rebuilt" turbo 400. my buddy who is not mechanically inclined got it running and drove it around the block, but later burned up the wiring somehow. he purchased a new harness, but it's not installed. floors look solid, dr. door is rusted out, gate has some rust at the bottom. but otherwise looks "solid" so, my question is....is it worth 2500.00?? mabye i just need a little motivation to bite the bullet, or somebody to talk some sense into me. although most would hate it, i do have a killer late model lt1makin 340 hp, and a new tranny.... i'm gonna go check it out this weekend for a really good once over. watcha think?
Did you see that Stude in Greenville last weekend? I can't beleive you even had to ask... Lusted after that thing all weekend. Made me want one and I really don't like those trucks. And remember, if it is a yard car, you can always offer him less and he'll probably take it!
dude, it was the only thing i took shots of. one of those two trucks shoulda took home best of show, but i figure the judges didn't know what they were looking at. must be the mini trucker in them. i gonna get it, i guess i just needed a bit of persuasion.
THE MID 50'S STUDE IS ONE BAD ASS BODY LINE MY POPS HAD A 57 MILD CUSTOM THAT JUST PISSED OFF A LOT 'O' PEOPLE WHEN HE SOLD IT. I WOULDN'T GO TELLING PEOPLE WHERE IT IS UNLESS YOU REALLY DONT WANT IT..
