I think their distribution facility burnt down a couple of weeks ago. This maybe the reason for current delays. Give them a call.

I work for a living, I really doubt they'd be in when I'm not working.
I tried emailing but get ignored, or the runaround.
I haven't seen an issue in probably 6-8 months or more

Gee,I'm only missing #16. Got some BS response cut and pasted
from their FAQ's. Email again and call Bullshit, and get a real response
that yea, somethings not right and they'd look into it and get back
to me. Couple weeks later I get another BS form reply right out of
the FAQ's again. Growing Pains? I Dunno. Never had a problem
when Stoner was running the show so I guess I'll shoot him a PM
aand see if he has any ideas.

mine was automatically renewed through paypal, I didn't want to renew in that manner but they took my money out because for some reason auto-renew gets checked with a subscription through paypal I guess.
I waited for 2 months after "auto-renewing" and emailed, got ignored, 2 months after that I still had nothing so I made a more direct email. Got a response that they have the wrong address for me. The one I moved from a year ago and had stoner change for me, which must have worked because I received my last issue at my new address. I asked for money back or my "lost" issues and that seems to be the end of the emails because that was back on the 14th and still no response from "Sireene Dapper"

FYI... It wasn't the distribution center for Garage that burnt. It was the facility that their fulfillment center(Kable News) that burnt. Current issues are NOT stored there, only back issues. The only magazines that are shipped out of this type of facilities are back issues that you order...

    uhhh, yes.
my wife ordered me a sub on July 31.
i still haven't seen my first issue yet.
the automated e-mail response after the money exchanged hands read something like "14-16 weeks before the first issue is to arrive"
and my favorite "don't reply to this e-mail, because no one will get it"

i need the number to call and ask about subscriptions.

i hadn't heard about their facility burning down,...that does suck.

Hey, y'all--Ryan alerted me to this post and let me clear a few things up:

    1. Kable News is our subscription fulfillment service and we've had nothing but problems since we started with them. While we haven't been affected by their warehouse fire (that's a different division of their business), we have been affected by a broken subscription fulfillment service for quite some time. We're fixing that as we speak, but it's taking more time than any of us want.

    2. As we go through the process of fixing these subscription problems, please bear with us--we're basically sharing all the responsibilities of answering questions, shoring up account problems, etc. and the tasks are being divided up among a few of us until we get the system running smoothly.

If you're having problems with your subscription, don't wait! Email:

    subscriptions@garagemagazine.com

There's a new process at the other end of that email address that will get you squared away just as quickly and painlessly as possible. That's the fastest way to get taken care of and again--I apologize for the lapse in service, if you're experiencing it. We'll get you taken care of!

Thanks again for the continuing support,

    STONER

  17. Hey guys:
I buy it at the local bookstore and have not seen a new one in a while. I don't think anyone has seen one yet. If the new one shows up at the store I will post.

I have emailed any address i could find through their website numerous times and have never gotten a response. My first years subscription never came. Not one issue. I have tried numerous times to contact somebody about why i never recieved my first year. I have since moved and have tried multiple times to change my address so i could recieve future issues and find out what the hell is going on. A few months ago, I was also automatically charged through paypal for a second year's subscription, but still cannot get a hold of anybody at Garage to fix my address. I have even PMd Stoner. I know its not going to my old address becasue i talk to my old roomates weekly. I just want my damn mag. Hell i just want somebody to respond to my emails and even PMs. Im now missing 40 bucks, but more importantly Im now missing out on a second year of my magazine becasue i cannot get ahold of anybody.

I can say I'm in the same shoes as NRchopshop. I've had some trouble in the past. Recently a payment was taken out of my PayPal account for a subscription renewal to Garage without my approval. I then started to receive bills by mail for the same renewal. I emailed several times without a reply and even went through PayPal and cancelled the subscription. I still haven't seen my $20 refunded. Don't know if I'm just unlucky but I don't have much good to say about them. I know I'll never buy another issue. Just my 2 cents, Flatheaded

I have had the same problems as you guys starting with issue number#16. My sub ran out on that issue, i paid and nothing. I finally sent a big long dramatic email to Garage subscriptions and got a reply that indicates i will be taken care of starting with issue #17. We will see. For those of you who are missing two years worth, three words come to mind. Better Business Bureau. Anyhow, hope it they get it straightened out, as it used to work fine for me in the past. I've subscribed for two years and never missed a beat until they switched to this new subscription company so i'd disagree that Jesse James has nothing to do with it. Pick another damn subscription company DUH.

They say "bad press is better then no press" not so with this crowd.

I figured there was trouble from last year. All the talk on here about what a great mag it WAS, so I go to the B&N, I don't know how many times, 10-12 times and never found it. Someone is sitting in Cancun MX sucking up margaritas enjoying there new condo on the beach. Good luck getting anything out of these jokers.
