I am Classicfin's (Doug) wife. I do not know any of you guys and really know nothing about how this message board works with postings and things but I wanted to let you all know about Doug. Yesterday morning (Christmas day) he woke me about 7 a.m. asking me "Which side hurts when you are having a heart attack?". I pretty much knew at that point that it was not going to be a good day. After a few hours in the ER, he was admitted to the hospital. They said he did not have an active heart attack but they were running test and monitoring him. The doctor came in this afternoon and talked with us and asked a lot of questions. At that point he said from the pain Doug had and things that showed on the EKG he thinks there is a blockage. They are doing a heart cath tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon. I don't know when I will get a chance to post again to give you an update, but hopefully he will be home Friday and can do that.

I wanted to let you all know because he thinks of this group as family.

    Thanks, Becky

  10. :DHello Becky! In this day and age blockages are not so bad because they can fix him up. Two years ago this Jan. I had 70% blockage in two parts of my heart. They put stents in there & opened them right up. Doug will feel like he's 18 again after they get the blockages opened up! Better stock him up with some reading material while he's in there (car magazines) a fella can only count the little holes in the cieling tiles just so many times (144 holes in each small tile:D)

My old man had a heart attack a few years back. He was lucky he got to hospital real quick and within an hour they had stents in. He was as white as a ghost when he went in but he came out looking better than ever. Hang in there man, hope all is well.
