This christmas was great, mom got me some books, "Hot Rod's By Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth", "Sundays With Von Dutch", "Hot Rod Kings"' and 3 others that haven't been dropped of by FedEX yet. Dad got me a SoCal Hoodie and Shirt, subscriptions to TR&K, Hot Rod, and TRJ, and the rest of the family got me back issues of TRJ #'s 21 to 35. Also a bunch of non car stuff. My favorite gift though was, when we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house everybody was unwrapping presents except for me. When every one was done Grandpa said it was time to go out to the barn, he walked me out and took me up in the loft. Flipped on the lights and there was a belt pulley for my John Deere Unstyled 'L', a set of mud lugs(used to paddle through muddy fields) and a NOS Block, because mine is cracked. He smiled gave me a hug and I started to cry, I didn't think I would ever get to finish the tractor because of the block, but now I can. This christmas was the best I have ever had.

all i did that was car-related was put deer antlers on the front of my 76 chevy pickup and re-routed the blinkers to his nose and used red bulbs, needless to say there were a few laughs when people started realizing i killed rudolph. lol

I got brake and clutch pedal pads, a s**** gas pedal and a parking brake handle for my 3 window. Also I got a couple of hot rod books. I didn't find any ambition under the tree though.

Sign for a local dirt track that closed up last year after 30+ years of operation  . My wife tracked this down. It was a complete surprise. I ran there many years ago.

CDs of old hot rod and oval track racing movies :).

Hard back books about racing :).

    Sears tools :).

    FORD SOHC model :).

and a new DELL Computer with Core2 Duo processor w/Dual core technology, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM, 7,200rpm hard drive :D. I nick named it "HOT ROD". Use it to HIGH SPEED browse the HAMB and watch these CD's ;) ;).

Christmas was pretty skimpy this year around the house. i'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will get something for my birthday in another two days that is worth writing about. I didn't get anything car related for xmas, so I had to buy my own gift. I got myself a new set of Firestone 6.70-15 with 3.25" WW's. Merry Christmas to me!

I must admit I was a little hurt that no one thought I might like something old car related for Christmas this year. My future mother in law came through last night with a bruised and battered greasy hardcover Chilton's repair manual for 1940-53 Cars and Trucks. I have no idea where she got that, but I almost cried I was so happy.
