Added another T and more land to my empire!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Tman, May 17, 2004.

  1. I own a 27 roadster as of last week, havent even seen it yet but a pal scooped it up for me. I do knw it is missing a door and a decklid with some rust-out around the top of the turtledeck.

As for the land, we just signed the papers for another 8 acres next to my 5! It was a good buy and will let me enlarge my lot and still build another house to offset my homesteads cost.

Like McPhail posted the other day, life is good. Then I realized I have to build TWO houses and not just one. DOH! [IMG]

I must honestly admit I blatantly envy you guys who live in such places where you buy land by the acre, and not the square yard [IMG]

I have but barely a quarter acre, with a little house on it, and a tiny garage, but I yearn for some open ground with rooom to swing my car around without worrying about hitting the neighbours car/house/dog/fence. And room to build a huge workshop! And a driveway 100 feet long! And room to play music with no fears of getting a rock through the window.

Still, I have more than a lot of people in this old world, so best be thankful for what I've got rather than go green dreaming of what others have [IMG]

  3. Yes, be thankful. I dont want to sound like I am bragging, I am just exited. Nor am I rich, my wife just can handle our money well and we have very good credit.

I happen to live in the first house I bought right now. It is about 16x40. 900 some square feet combined with the basement. My "shop" is 10x 18 and I have worked on my cars at work (granted, its a rodshop) or at pals houses.

To own 13 acres vs. a 25x140 foot lot is quite a dream come true.

If it makes you feel good, I lusted over some of your Limey hotrod parts and had to have marq ship them to me [IMG]

  4. And lest you guys think property is cheap here. It is compared to the crazy shit out in California. But, it is pricey compared to the average income! The average houshold income for TWO man and wife (we dont have that same sex thing unless it means
with yer woman 2 nights in a row!)people in South Dakota is 40 Grand!

  5. Hay ya land grabber......Wait [till ya own yur OWN town]..... then get back to me-"348 kid"! lands cheap here in the country![IMG]
Congratulations to you and yours MAN!

Hey Trent...talk "Many" out of a 27 decklid too and then sell me the body for cheep!
I got a killer 232 flathead Pontiac 6 popper and 3 speed to go in it. Hell, I'll even use the stock 41 Poncho coupe rear axle under it with it's 4.30 gears...
Congrats on being a future slumlord. What do you plan on calling your "development"? Knight-time Estates? DAhahahaha!

  11. Dude, this is a high dollar developement! None of that cheesy shit here. To give you an idea about my curent house, I have called the police 5 times in the last 2 weeks due to the young "bucks" next door partying all night. One time they started UP again at 6AM!!!!!

If you want the T, I will peddle it to you. Let me get it home and shoot some pics. price will be right, you are like family.

Hey Trent I did the same thing. The 4 1/2 acre lot came up for sale next door to me, and I bought it so no one else would move in. Only in America can you get away with shit like that!!

And I thought I didn't give you enough crap about having too many projects. Carla better kick your ass enough so at least one house gets done considering how you get distracted with your cars...

    See ya next week T...

  15. Whatever little bro. The new T just kinda happened. No plans at all for it. But they arent making any more of em! Maybe a guy should just stockpile some of this shit and sit on it. The touring is good, you can help me block sand when you get here [IMG]

Only in the Dakotas can an "average man" get away with shit like that. Residential land around here, Los Angeles County, is going for $3-$12,000,000 an acre depending on the zip code.

  17. another reason I could not live on the west coast [IMG] Love to visit but man I am happy to get back to the midwest. I was out there in January - love LA traffic and the oh so "kind" people. And the worst part is most of them could not give directions to save their life.

BTW - sell the T to Rocky - he needs a project and I can use him as a guiding force to actually do something with mine. Probably use his disgarded parts!! [IMG]
