Hey guys, i was contemplating buying the deville manual, but if i can get some torque specs from you guys, that would be great. Is the manual worth buying? Well heres what i need. Head bolt torque and sequence Rod bolts Main bolts damper bolt Cam gear bolts I think thats all the major ones. school me if i need more. Thanks in advance.
head 70-80 rod 40-45 main 90-100 damper 60-70 flywheel 75-80 intake 25-30 exhaust 25-30 timing sprocket 15-18 timing cover 10-12 oil pan screws 10-12 nuts 15-18 this is all from Chilton so take it with a grain of salt
On your head bolts, tighten them starting from the center row and work outward and toward each end. Rocker shaft screws are 65- 70. Hope this helps.
does anyone know how to pull the cam out. i cant seem to get the bottom gear off the crank. do i have to pull the cam gear off. Also i was looking at finned valley covers, and valve covrs, and had a qustion about crankase ventilation. i have a breather in the valve cover that went to the intake and and a breather in the valley cover that went to the manifold as well. do i need to keep those or should i get the road draft tube thingy.
