off topic here...but...Mark Madson is i believe, the very embodiment of exactly what is wrong with modern car culture. a huckster, shameless self promotion artist, building senseless creations with no real point of reference, reverence, or frankly, any point whatsoever, except to perhaps pander to the lowest common denominator of populist appeal. a noted poor sport, vain beyond comprehension....words fail to describe how his particular brand of larger-than-life hijinx throws a wet blanket on my mood at any given event in my area....

Me and my dad has had 3 Econolines. A '61, a '63, and a '66. we worked those trucks to death. They are a blast to drive. Glad to see more people enjoys them. Every once in awhile you will see one pop up for sale, but they are starting to command some dollars now. Biggest downfall was the rust on the side panels. I shoulda kept the last one and shoehorned a 289 or a 302 into it. This is the last one my dad and I owned, sold it to a guy, and then it sat in a field for about 20 years. My son bought it, but then traded it shortly afterwards for a '49 Ford. Dad and I had this particular Econo for probably 10+ years before selling it.
