Oh and I would like to re-wire this car. Can anyone point me in the direction of a harness?

is There an alliance vendor that has a harness for this car? it's already converted to 12 volt and I'm about to change the gauges and would rather just doit all.

    thanks Darryl

great to see that I'm not the only $#%^%$& working on a 4 door taxi.
I think that I would have it lowered a lot more .

Other than making it lower I think it is looking good. Not a big GM fan but those look good customized. Need some big *** whites and some bullet lugs and push throughs.

I plan on bagging it and adding an s-10 rear end in the future. The uprights and blocks I dropped it with came with the car so I used them for now....

I plan on driving the snot out of it like this until I finish the frame off resto-mod I am doing on my 70 Chevy truck. I drive the truck daily right now and this car is it's replacement during surgery.

Oilslinger: I have no plans to change the bumpers yet. I ***ume that is what you are referring to. The front one is bent in the middle though.

oilslinger, I'll send you some pictures in a PM. you can judge them and see if you want them. They have some small dings and need to be re-chromed.

    Thanks for all the comments.

I used an E-Z wiring kit when I rewired the 54. I dunno if an alliance vendor sells them or not but I don't have a complaint yet.

  14. Nice looking '53...but what exactly is included in what you describe as "lowering stuff" ?

Get yourself a tub of Snow-seal and make those tires into wide whitewalls. Or do the sidewall grinding method, that works too. Some trim rings and a set of chrome lug nuts and that'd look pretty damned nice.

looks pretty cool but there's a damn chevy in the way!

    :D

Good start, it looks good in green. I'd go a whole lot lower though. I always take my cars one wire at a time, those "painless" kits are anything but it... Find a wiring diagram and go for it.

I used Fatman (I think) Dropped uprights in the front and blocks in the back. I think it was 2.5 in the front and 3 in the back.

I didnt buy the stuff so I'm not sure.

and the big green thing is a Grumman body on a Ford ch***is.
