  6. Here is my 32 Ford Truck cab thing. It started out in the girl friend's garage so it needed to be short to fit the garage. Hammeredabone used the Fidgeter's model as a guide for the frame build. We hand built the rear frame rails. If all goes well, the engine will be running today or tomorrow and then the cab needs mounted and chopped, floor done and wires and it should be on the road by Feb - I hope ;).

Yeah, 57 dash. Its on another car now. This one was to have a DuVall screen that sat very nice on there. The guy that has it put a standard screen on it and it has ugly gaps between the humps and fits terribly!
I miss the car real bad, but this was my second 28/9 A RPU and I always wanted a Gasser so it had to go.:(
    But Gasser makes me go:D

I am pounding iron on a 39 ford coupe, 53 flathead, f-1 brakes, original optional shock mounts. Bought the car in Illinois from an old man, and i dont know if he or someone else had tried to rod it. They shaved the trunk lid handle, gas cap door and the tail lights. Pontiac tail lights were installed on the body between the fenders and trunk lid. I also got a Canadian flathead with trans, two narrow wide five rims. Names such as "Rat", "CW", Huck, etc.. are carved into the horn ring. The car is 90%, but needs alot of work. As of now i have a rolling frame with everything blasted, primed , and painted. I will try to post some pic if i can figure out how..........................

I'm stoked this thread took off like it did! It's been a HELL of a read! There are some super awesome builds going on here! Keep it goin! I noticed a few people that ALWAYS have some bitchin' rides in the works haven't post yet. Hope they post. I'm pretty sure they know who they are! (nudge, nudge)

  24. After I finish a 56 F100 with a 390 &C6 (to sell)

I'm undertaking a major chop job. My stock 48 Lincoln Continental will get a 351W C-6 & Narrow 9" rear. & a 4"chop. Otherwise stock inside and fenders left for later mods.

I may be asking for advise for all of the cuts & sections to add. An English wheel will be used for the modified panels.

Read the tech on how to cut & weld stainless trim. Great help on this end

I've got a 64 Comet post (former radio delete - 6 holer - 3onthetree) that is under going a transformation into a altered wheelbase straight axle match racer.

    For a base I got a 57 Fairlane 9 inch, Econoline front axle, a 1969 351W and a top loader 4 speed (I know, I know...I wish I had an FE).

I cut the axle and drag link 5.5 and welded back. Rebuilt the king pins and had the springs rearched. I switched the shackles to the front. I'm working on fabbing the cross steer arm. Front axle is up 3 inches and ultimately the rear will be moved up 12 inches (or so).

The front has Torq thrusts skinnys and the rear are vintage Kelsey Hayes chrome reverse.

I'm just about finished with this. Put the final polish on it yesterday and the upholsterer is coming Monday to look at it.
