Dude, you aren't going to win this one. I see the car was in Car Craft- did you put which other mag it was in? "Hesher Monthly"? "I still live with my mom and collect Kiss dolls Quarterly"? Don't add more fuel to the fire- you have a cool car to a COMPLETELY different group of people, continuing to defend the post and the car is a losing battle.

But since you asked, the last time I had a car in a magazine was the Feb 2008 issue of R&C (the cover feature) and issue #38 of The Rodder's Journal (The Old Crow bellytank feature). The last time I had my car in a magazine was 2001. Back when I was a staff editor at Rod & Custom. Is there anything else I can clear up for you? I know some things about 12V wiring..

For the record; I hate shit rods. I like em finished in the traditional style. Bare metal and primer are supposed to be a step in the process, not the destination. At the same time, you have every right to build a shitty car to your satisfaction. Just don't expect me to want to take any pictures of it.

Thanks Mazdaslam, I keep going back to the Matranga car because the one owned by Velzy had that look. I think I read somewhere that he balled it up while driving drunk. If I remember right, the article was in Longboard magazine or Surfer's Journal. More about the man and his boards than the car. There was a pic of it parked on PCH with two longboards sticking out of the trunk, ala Endless Summer. "Airplane wings go in the trunk."
