I read Scale Auto magazine, and the latest issue, (with the blue and yellow cobras on the cover), has the coming next issue showing an article on straight six engines. After the three-part articles on hot rod V-8's this might be a good follow-up.
I know....it's a bit early, as the next issue goes on sale Mar. 4th.

  5. A heads up for those who may not know yet. Revell will soon be releasing an all new 32 Tudor kit, with some nice Kelsey Hays wheels and standard interior no IFS ****, 4 bar (bummer, but we can put in bones or hairpins) dropped axle, brand spankin new tooled flathead that is meant to be THE BEST on the market.
With the awesome detail and accuracy that the latest Revell 32 3 window, Roadster and the new Tudor exhibit we can only hope and dream they come to the party with an accurate 5 window!!!.

  6. I don't want to offend if its not, but is that a re painted die cast?? The front axle and wheels look a little over size for a plastic scale model?

Ok, the guy is a mate of mine and he is a lurker on the HAMB. I can vouch for the excellent quality of this stuff and I am doing some masters for him too, soon there will be a 1/8 427 SOHC (If I get off my **** and finish it) there is also a LOT more on its way.
I have used all (Yes, no **** ALL of it) other resin that is and was avaliable and none of it is even close to this quality. I am very proud to be a part of this!

Nope. The only thing that is metal on this is the pins in the scratch-built front axle, the fuel lines, and the foil tape at the bas of the whoopy light. Everything else is either plastic or vinyl (tires). TGhe tires probably look outta scale for the front cause I whitewalled 'em. There the same front tires as on 'Hot Tamale'.
No offense taken. I actually take it as a compliment. Thanks for askin'!

    Forget what? ha!!!! No problem.

  17. Thought after opening my mouth I should post something I have been doing.

This one is built from a pile of body parts, some 57 Chey bits, 55 Ford, various other 'bits' and some styrene sheet. Its going to be a lakester if I ever finish it.

The ch***is is a narrowed NASCAR item with a soldered br*** cage.

This one is another lakes car. It started off as a VW, the only kit parts are the hood, sides and the rear deck. Made the rest, interior is br*** tube and scratch built aircraft style seat, throttle controls and instrument panel.

  18. This is the old AMT 40 coupe, chopped and premiered to help smooth out the lines. It will have the drip rails back on there soon.

  19. Last this is a 32 3 window that is going to be built like the So-Cal Speed Shop 34. Just chopped so far, no filler or cleaning up yet so its a little rough.

That last one looks fine without the drips. Nice and smooth look. I see a LOT of lakes influence in your builds. I'm diggin' that "mod" car.

Here is a Corvair wheelie car I need to finish. I just got the 62 on saturday. I think that may become a g***er soon.

    Attached Files:

  23. Man those corvairs fascinate me, I really want to do a V8 street version!
The wheelie car has a nice colour choice for a race car, really grabs you.

Yeah, Tom lakes cars are my crack cocaine, just cant get enough of em! Thanks for the comments.

Not a repop of someone else's work? If George Zurowski was around, i'm sure he'd disagree with that statement. George only gave one person rights to reproduce those heads, the guy your buddy bought them from. I don't know what kind of line you've been fed man, but your buddy is a thief. If he really is a good caster, he needs to come up with his own line of parts, and stop stealing from others.

  25. Mojo, I can verify that these are NOT re-pops of Gorges work. I know the inside story on what happened to Georges stuff when he p***ed.
It was while all that '**** fight' was going on that these were mastered. If you search the Scale motorcars site there is a tutorial showing you the process how the masters were made.
Find out the truth before making a complete **** head of yourself accusing people of things they did not do.
For that matter, do some research into where George got his masters!

heres a 57 CHEV I did last weekend when I was bored. Its chopped, shaved, nosed and decked. It also has a 59 Impala dash and interior.Kustom Pagan gold paint with rootbeer fades. It started life as an expensive Coca-Cola collectable. Now its KOOL!

  28. Did you do anything to the rear fins? They look exaggerated, maybe its the chop that does it?

Just like that willys pickup isn't someone else's work because it's been modified? Like i'll believe anything coming from those guys! If you're willing to steal from everyone and call it your own, what's another lie?

Megard got some Ardun heads from Hayes, and then ASKED Hayes if he could re-release George's Ardun heads because they were "improved", and Hayes told him NO. He told Hayes tough luck, and there was nothing he could do to stop him.

Open your ****ing eyes and look around. Maybe someone should start ripping off all of your buddy's ****, and flood ebay with it too. Would that still be ok? Rationalize all you want, the guy is still a ****ing thief.
