Leave the hood, but take the sides off. It looks good either way, but I love the look without the sides. If you do leave the sides, louvers would look nice.

I think it doesn't matter it looks pretty much the same. The Headers are cool but, i do think the exhaust pipe makes an takes my eye in different directions. If I couldn't see the pipes then I would vote for the sides. The exhaust pipes really take away from the Car. Is there a way to hide them.

I agree. Looks good either way, but I'd keep the top and ditch the side. Nice ride.

I would cut that edge of the top piece of the hood off at the body line just to open it up a little more = )

Okay I like the look you are trying to get too. I would say that the bottom edge has a too deep look to it, I would have a bead roll on the lower edge in line with the a bead. My other recomendation is too loose the headers with the hood. A set of ramhorns with the side hoods would be great with a full hood. Dont get me wrong the headers are cool but just seam maybe out of place with the drylakes hood sides look. Keep up the greatwork. It is turning out awesome either way you decide to go

That big black band around the front of the hood, or is it on the rear flange of the raditor shell(?), is very unattractive.
I'd go with the full hood but try to figure something out on that incredibly awkward header collector/exhaust pipe angle. It just looks like a total afterthought rather than a thought-out system.

    I dig the sides.

Have you considered moving the rear end out behind the trunk? And adding airbags? I think that guy in Texas is starting a new fad.

Sides for winter...none for summer...no hood or hub caps at all for racing.

it looks good both ways, why don't you just make the sides how you want them and put them on or take them off whenever you feel like it

I really like much better with the hoodsides. They really bring out the lines of your car.

  22. I like it with the sides. It's gonna look good with louvers. The full hood makes your car stand out from the crowd and looks very traditional. Nice!

thats a leather strap that holds the hood down, it came off my girlfreinds horse:D so its kinda cool.......

I fully agree with with royalshifter!!!!!

oh and the headers follow the front of the frame........im gunna do ram horns. havnt got there yet

  27. Use the sides and the hood, when you want to, or have to. I know you drive your car, all year around. Hood and sides in the rain/winter, no hood in the summer.

I like it both ways. Louvers would probaly push me to say keep them on though, so if you are going to punch the panels I vote keep 'em. Any way you look at it though that is a fine looking car!
