i take it you don't want to help? me i'm a glutton for punishiment so i going to try no matter what. don't know any of you guys personally yet but hope to hook up with a few might be an excuse to drink beer and stare at it though All joking aside I want to get started next couple of months its going to be my tow vehicle for my 29 plymouth salt racer
I'd be more than happy to help, but as far as doing a full-blown frame build for something like that, I'm not equipped to handle that...where in MN are you located?
what are your thoughts ive built ch***is for.......ahem "ratrod pick ups" and my bike frame myself but i,m thinking that might need to build some kind of jig table to level, plumb, square up etc whatta you thing it sound like you have a parttime hot rod shop?
sounds like an interesting project. i could probably handle it , but i wouldn't have time to work on it until 2009. one of the best ch***is builders in minnesota is jim petrykowski at Metal Fab in Blaine 763-786-8910
no , he is in blaine and a very good ch***is builder..i gave you his number because HE could do it for you. i'm in southern minnesota and can not do it for you
I normaly would not post a negative coment but in this case I feel it should be known that I and many of my friends have had very bad experiences with Jim Petrakowski and his fabrication shop. I became very frustrated when he worked on a project for me and when it went very bad all the guys in town started telling me how bad he was. I was very frustrated because no one spok up untill it was to late and then many of my friends told me of there bad experiences. There has been a law seuit aginst him in regards to his work and every one I know that has been in his shop has been very unhappy. I have been lied to by JimPetrakowski he has cheated me on the billing for his hours on my project and the work he did on my car caused my transmissin to fail because he welded a fitting on my trany cooler that completely pluged it up. I also had to redo much of the ch***i work he did. This is very harsh but please do not consider using Jim Petrakowski for any work, I love cars and always have a project in progress, I would give up ever having another car if it ment having Jim work on it. I am making this a public statement and stand behind it Steve Laugtug St Paul MN
well steve..all i can say is i always thought he was a great builder and admired his work as for his business practices , i can't speak of that because i have had no dealings with him for many years this is all i have to say
i was thinking art morrison the prices are un beatable they gave me a quote of approx 4500-6000 which i thought was very reasonable. it s not the money but i know i speak for alot of us that we hate to just order parts to complete our projects but mabey thats my best bet unless sombody has the will i got plenty of coorslite and some hot neighbors who love hot rods Patina steve thanks for the heads up i know its tough to say bad things on here
If you want / and can afford to have someone build the ch***is for you Curt Senescall at Creative Metal Works in Blaine would be a very good choice.
nuroadsir thanks alot for that lead i,m getting so exited about this build its going to be my most complicated build to date because of the viper drive train but it should hopefully fast, mean, reliable?, very traditional looking, steelies with wide whites ican figure out how to put pics up but im trying

I have been shaking with violence since this started. I almost fell into the "clutches" of this ****. Any man that can look into your eyes and lies is a piece of ****. How many times did you call and he didn't answer? If you used a phone with a different number he would answer everytime. Ever catch him sitting in the shop with the lights off? I feel sorry for you Steve, I hope you found help from somebody.
