cause the guy I bought it from didn't know and it's not what I thought it was.. before I perform major surgery upon it, I would like to know. also if some one has what I need and this is what they need maybe I won't have to cut it up.. Paul front;
It also looks like the early 20's Dodge. Although the mounting brackets on the bottom are different than my '23 roadster...
stoggie, that's what I thought, and I also thought that's what it was. it does not fit my cowl, at least not at the bolt hole location, it fits the contours about four inches forward of where it should attach.
I think it would be Dodge now. This is a much better photo of how the post intersects the mounting plate. There is another that is close but it escapes me at the moment. Cut the ***** apart, lay it back 37 or so degress and mold it to the cowl.
now you got any extra door?? Needing some front doors for my touring. The ones I have are not nearly as good as I thought.
I've heard '27 chevy posts are very similar to the fords. One bolt hole will be slightly off, and I think they are pointier than the fords at the bottom.
The windshield looks like a Chevy item to me.There are differances in 1926 & 1927 Ford posts, has to do with the shape of the base, or maybe the three bolt hole placement. Once you get into 26-27 T's there are A LOT of differances, cowl,doors and back section. If you are puting a tub together from pieces you'll find this out. I need a doorless front half of a 1927.
