If it's adjusted with a guage as the instructions say to do, you should be good to go.

Follow the instructions, use the spacer and your good to go. Check it once in awhile to make sure the return spring is doing it's thing. I've done it on a couple cars now with absolutly no problems. Excellent upgrade!

How about the TCI constant pressure tv bodies? Has anyone used this? It appears that the TV cable is then only used to adjust shift points and you don't have to worry about burning out the transmission

A little OT but where can a guy get a deal on a AODE control? TCI- Baumann- Fast are all more exspensive than the trans.

Here a lot of information on rhis site.

AOD's if built and adjusted correctly can be great transmissions. The biggest problem with them is the lack of pressure in them so they heat up. Overdrive is the first to go. Just adding a shift kit would be a drastic improvement because it allows for more pressure to flow through the transmission.

Here is some more great info.

    Good luck!

    Thanks
I thought I'd been all over the Baumman site but I missed a lot of it. I did install a baumman shift kit and a lot of the upgrades, 2" od band,A+ servo,hp clutch packs, etc. Fingers crossed!!

Nope. If you want to run an electronic control trans you are paying at least $400 for the controller. You can run a manual shift valve body and do away with the electronic controls, but you run it like a stick shift.
