Go to eBay, change your password there, and delete that email. Screw the link in the email, that's probably a fake.
I got one like that a few months back......I ignored it.... Still have my Ebay account.....must have been bogus.... Worse case...they close your account....you can get it back......... .
Forward it to spoof@ebay.com and they will tell you if it's fake or not. Sure looks like a phony to me though. B B
I got the exact same one 6 or 7 months ago......i did nothing and I'm still on ebay........forget about it. SCAM!
[ QUOTE ] For sure fake. ... and what kind of a name is Atticus??? [/ QUOTE ] Is'nt that one of the guys from The Matrix?
It is a fraud. Ebay does not ask for your info. Send it to spoof@ebay.com and they will confirm that it is a fake.
cool,.thanks, it reallylook real and the link looks real as well..but i wasnt sure,. man i bet alot of people fall for that. i fowarded it like you guys sugested. thanks guys
I got the same thing a day or two ago. I checked it out until it asked for my ebay password and email password. I promptly closed it out and gave them the virtual finger.
I got that email a few times. I sent it to ebay and they said it was a scam. If you know how to view the properties of the header on the email, you could see that they faked the return ebay email adress. I think the first one of those emails I got originated from an ISP in China. It seems that China and Eastern Europe are the leaders in sending these ebay and paypal scam emails.
[ QUOTE ] What, no one has read to Kill a Mockingbird? [/ QUOTE ] Yes,I read most of it,but I don't remember the part about Internet Fraud.
It was on my computer this morning. Ebay doesn't ask for cridit card info over the internet. deleted it. Wish we could round up all of the scum that does this and give them a 10 minute lesson on ethics. If the bones in their hands ever healed I think they might think twice about doing it again. Frank
