oh hell yeah Paso was awesome.... and I will be back... that's a promise... but the HAMB Drags is #1 :D

I have a feeling that ,at least in part, one particularly STUPID P.O.S. lawyer had something to do with the big move. That was my all time favorite, highlight of my year, finally right in my backyard, event and they go and move it to Ohio. At least Ohioans get it now.......argh! Keep telling yourself your not bitter, your not bitter, your not bitter........... I too hope to someday make the big pilgrimage to the Bonneville, hopefully in one of my old rides and not a rental car.

  10. And now for the ones I haven't been to, but WANT to attend:

#1, HAMB Drags. For the people, of course. I haven't EVER met a HAMBer that wasn't the salt of the earth.

#2 Both events at Bonneville. Wanted to go this year, but health set backs make me postpone it again.

#3, Both events at Goodwood. What I really wanna do is bring an old car to drive in England.

#4, Hot Rod Revolution, coupled with the Lucky Bastards Reliability Run.

#5, Lone Star Round Up. Except for the fact that I'm afraid I might fall in love with Austin, Texas, and never come home.

#6, Boise NightFire Nationals. 'Cause I LOVE Fuel Altereds…

#7, That hot rod party on some beach in England. I don't know what it's called but it looks like more fun than the law should allow. What's not to love about meeting good car people, drinking English beer and blasting around on a beach?

#8, Rogue's Ranch Run. Almost went this year. Definetely on next year's list.

    Chili.

Phil, you are missing a really good time at the Ranch Run!

I missed one since the start. I don't want to miss another! Your chili would go over big there if you want to bring some.

  14. Gotta say, I was sorta disappointed with the last Hoedown in Philly. The cars were awesome, but I thought the music lacked big-time, especially compared to the year before. The layout sucked, too, because they had the regular college bar crowd in there, and all they did was make fun of the hot rodders and rockers. Fuck 'em, I know, but it still sucked that the place wasn't "our own" for a day, with a bunch of awesome bands. The one bar band they had playing in there was horrible.
That said, I was disappointed there was no Road Agents event last year, but this year it'll be back, and it will kick motherfucking ass.

Well, since Im on the East Coast- Id say Syracuse-everything for everyone.
If I got a chance to go Id do Vegas. NOT a big Lead East fan- want to save my cash to actually put some back into my car. Cant see spending $2000 on a weekend event

Based on the fun, traditional style and the music.... Scandinavias hottest event is "Bedrock Weekend"

A very close second is without doubt "Old Style Weekend" that features a bigger variety of rides aswell as being a bigger event in general

ROAD ROCKET RUMBLE in Indy is damn near perfect, bands ,girls movies and great cars.
Beatersville ( Louisville Ky)is a tough act to follow with a huge air conditioned bar, bands cool location to boot!!!
Bonneville World of Speed has become very special as well but for different reasons i guess, if ya not been to the salt ya got to go !! The meca for gearheads!
HAMB drags the ultimate drag experience. Pure 1962 ,food, grounds etc.
And our final show each year the Hundret car pileup. Cold but worth the drive every time.
if i had to just do 5 these would be the five !!:)

  27. Yup, Hunnert in October, and the Scrap Drive in Belvidere, Illinois....June 7th, 2008.

  28. Paso was right up there, but it seemed to be gettin a little tiresome last year. As was Billetproof, kinda done with those shows I think. I'm enjoying the small get together type shows more and more, Asphalt Invitational and the Revolution are at the top of the list. The Lucky Bastards Nor-Cal Reliability Run is really great, I thoroughly enjoyed it the last two years.
