I know there are alot of warbird fans on here so I thought I would post some pics of our latest project. It is a brand new FW-190 built from original Fock Wolf drawings by a company called Flug Werks in Germany. Hope to have her up and flying sometime this year, still alot of work to do! Enjoy the pics.

    2) Is it 1:1, or smaller? Looks like 7/8 but maybe that's the pictures.

    Pretty cool. :)

That is awesome, one of the best looking planes in WWII. I had one of those hanging from my ceiling. I painted it just like that too.

It's full size just like Fock Wolf built them in the 40's with the exception of the engine. Since there are no original BMW engines available it is fitted with a Russian/Chinese built engine that is camparible to the BMW in performance.

It's my opinion that the Focke Wulf 190 is the best looking of the Luftwaffe's prop-driven planes. I know it's O/T, but would love to see more pix posted, and video when it flies.

The butcher bird ROCKS. Monster fire-power, wonder what it would've done if it was boosted like most other ETO fighters. Thank you for the pics, keep us updated!

A Red 13 with a red band???.... Heinz Bar perhaps of the JG1.

Red bar in the back so that's defense of the reich. Great pilots aircraft to recreate.. that guy was one of the best of the best.

Super rad plane. I remember reading about the plan for doing these about 3 or 4 years ago in Flight Journal or some other aviation mag. The tail sections or rear wheel assemblies of the first dozen or so are actually all original found in a warehouse in Germany.

Chad: That is totally awesome! Please keep us updated! Mercmad: That video rocked! Wonderful to see and hear! I was a real WW1 aircraft buff in my youth and recall an American WW1 buff's account of how he built a Fokker D-8 high wing monoplane from plans and drawings sent to him from the German designer of the D-8, Rienhold Platz who had worked for Fokker. The replica was completed just in time as Herr Platz passed away after sending most of the plans needed to complete the re-creation of Fokker's last WW1 fighter.

Off topic? We have 1940's design, sheet metal and exotic castings, a supercharged high octane gasoline engine with water/methanol injection at full throttle only, is a very high performance vehicle that all others feared, how can this be off topic? Thank you for the pictures Chad, and thank you Mercmad for the video. Yes, we want more.

Hey guys, Here are a few pics of our FG-1D Corsair we started restoring a little over a year ago someday, she will fly again!
I work for the Tri-State Warbird Museum just a little north of Cincinnati at the Clermont County Airport, in case anyone was wondering where they ar located.

They also made a long nose FW-190 D9 that is currently getting ready to fly down in Florida I think.

It will be real cool to see some Butcher Birds on the warbird circuit.

I am not sure what shows it will make this year if any. We have six aircraft we have to keep airworthy, plus these to projects and another that will be here at the end of the month and there are only four of us in the shop!

Not sure what the company that built it is charging for them this one was donated to the museum. I will keep you guys updated!
