Just got Feb issue of Car Kulture Deluxe and I would like to clear up misprint before I hear any crying. It says that the shop (Drag N Shop) didn't do chop and other things. They did do that work but screwed up. So I give them credit for that. The rest is true. :) Jesus loves you!

Jesus or "Satan?"...only God and the Drag N Shop and those (like me) knows the real story, so let it be written (incorrectly) so let it be done. "Thou Shalt Not Lie...."

Some wicked customs in here! This is one we have been building for a few years. Could have been so much more. The owner wants what he wants.[IMG]

Thought I'd kick this back up due to the spotlight on the Drag N Shop in the May RodnCustom mag.

Marco did a great job on the article.

D.A., you guys deserve all the ink you can get! Y'alls stuff is as good as it gets! Kudos!

    Bump for the night crowd.

The '49 Chevy in question is the Jesus Valencia Chevy built by Drag N Shop. Thought some new eyes could dig it, especially with the Drag N Shop profile in this months' Rod & Custom.

Since this thread is back from the dead. Does anyone have any pics of new rides being done up at the DragNshop? Also, I saved this picture from Mooneyes Christmas Show 2011. The Chevy on the right definitely has their flavor, but this is the only pic I have ever been able to find of it. Anyone know anything about it?

I've been trying to get the answer to that question for a couple weeks now, with no luck. Joe and D.A. and their close buds are no longer active on the HAMB, haven't been for several years.

I know there are some on this board who know, like Marco Patino (marcoman), who is a close friend of the Garcia's, maybe they can chime in. Have been thinking of starting a thread to showcase their cars, but have only been able to document about ten or so cars, and only through about 2009. What there is about the shop here on the board is scattered all over the place.

Corresponded with Jesus Valencia recently, he sold the car "around '09", thinks it is in Russia now! (although I seem to recall Tom Davison photographed it in SoCal post-'09). That is the car (what this thread was originally all about) that made me a Joe Garcia fan. Personally, I don't care that the Drag-n-Shop look is heavy on air bags and bondo, although I know it turns off a fair number of HAMBers. Cars look bitchin, period.

Edit: BTW droplord49, love your signature, JB is part of my life soundtrack.

Just stole this pic off another thread. She's definitely in Russia now. Makes me kinda sad I will never get to see it in person :(

  30. Hi there Jimmy. Just came across this post. I'm guessing you didn't get my response to your PM.
Here is a link to some Drag n Shop info. You can also go click on my wifes profile(1955fairlane). She has an album on the stages of her 55 ford. Joe did all the custom body work. Ralph Acencio and brothers did the prep, primer, and paint.
