If the script is as well written as your responses to everyones posts, even the not so friendly ones, you should do fine.Just keep up the hard work and let the final product speak for it's self.

Now that was a long read and in the end, you are doing what many just don't have the balls to do (Even though you litterly don't have any). Hahaha
Keep it up and I will be waiting to see this flick 110%. All the bashers would sooner watch that fast and furious ****, then a true hotrod flick. It could be inaccurate, low budget, ****py quality, with bad acting and heck even a bad story, but in the end, it is a hotrod movie that is very rarely done these days, so if you flick does better then any of that, then it will be a hit. Hmmmm, makes you think when everyone compares to AG that was made how long ago, that it is time for a new one and a hotrod movie done right meaning before some huge producer who doesn't know ****, trys to make a hotrod movie and ruin the whole hotrod image with some ****py corny story plot to make his million. I can see it already, a high end hotrod movie with aluminum spoilers, neon lights and NOS having some greasy saying he lives a 1/4 mile a time.
We all have dreams and you are going for yours, taking the impossible and making it possible. Not only you are right on the money for making this movie, but you can be a role model for many that think going anywhere in life is impossible, cause it is possible and many need to see this.
On another note, I would be right there helping out, but when I live in Canada, all I can do is watch from the side lines and curse at why I'm such a poor *** to do anything cool. LOL As this Canadian would proudly say to you "F'N Right". Now lets see a new hotrod film as soon as we can.

An Independent film, tieing in the Hot Rod scene of today with the hot rod scene of yesteryear. What's not to like?

    HELLO EVERYONE!

After an entire YEAR of 24/7 hard work preparing for this film, including teaching myself how to become a cinematographer and director of photography in litterally, four months, well, it is now official:

    I AM READY.

As you all know I had to be sure i could pull it off so I went off on a short "tangent" and wrote, directed and produced another film to learn the ropes.

    And learn I have.

Patrick Cyconne, who mixed the sound for the last Tarantino film and who will be mixing DEUCE OF SPADES for me, watched my 35 minute short THE PARK BENCH and was very impressed with both the soundtrack and the cinematography. I got his blessings to proceed.

I NOW SHIFT TO THIRD GEAR.

I conducted a m***ive screen test / call backs with a cast of about 40 people, which represents but a fraction of the total cast of the entire film. We filmed the actors running through the flashback scenes. It was quite a TREAT to watch this yesterday and get a hint of what is to come.

I am now gathering the last few things and taking care of a few lose ends.

1- A LARGE private airstrip looking like Saugus has been secured. I now have two airstrips to film on.

2- More Vintage motorcycles have joined the cast.

3- One pre 1955 war plane will now also be featured in the film.

4- 1955 looking privately owned land, including roads, orange groves, orchards, houses, roads with no lines on them have been secured.

5- A Wally Spark 1950's roadster look alike roadster has been secured to become the challenger hotrod. And a young, 50's looking, Italian looking actor has been cast as Toni Crosciato. We screen tests the big fight and it was a blast to watch everyone argue :D.

I could not hope for more. Everything is falling into place beautifully. Where I was last summer and where I am now are two different universes. Boy I have come a LONG way. Which goes to show that if you really put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.

I will leave you with a couple photos of the final cast, as taken last Saturday.

FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELT, AS WE TAXI TO THE RUNWAY FOR FINAL TAKE OFF.

PS: Due to my current hectic schedule I will not have a lot of free time to spare posting back and forth here, but I am sure you guys will have loads of fun arguing about my film without me ;). I will try to return to answer questions, if any. Thank you all for your support this last year and remember you can always check the film blog for weekly progress details.
