I know it's short notice, but American Graffiti is showing for one night only at the Regency South Coast Village theatre in Santa Ana on Wednesday (tomorrow - 1/9) night at 7:30 pm. The cost for the showing is only $6.00. It's not very often that you can see a cl***ic flick like this on the big screen. I'm hoping to cruise down with the family...not sure if anyone else is up for a Wednesday night out. The address for the theater is as follows: Regency South Coast Village 1561 West Sunflower Santa Ana, CA. 92704 The location is right across from South Coast Plaza and the closest cross street would be Bristol. Hope to see some of ya'll there!
That's cool! I've been thinking about doing something like that here in Texas with a local theater. The owner of the theater is really interested.
It is an indoor theatre and it is next to the Red Robin. The theatre usually hosts art films and limited run stuff. I'm not really sure why they are choosing to run AG. I just know that it would be *****in' to see it on the big screen with theatre sound...probably the best sounds (burnouts, high revs and backgrounds) and soundtrack (with plenty of the Wolfman) of any hot rod movie. So what's the deal? Who's gonna make it?
Right on where at ? I like going out there to relax sometimes. Is it going to be at the drive inn or at the Ranger Theater ?
I don't want it to look like I'm hijacking the thread or confuse this one, so I'll start a new one for the South Texas area as soon as I nail down the details. King Ranger put the old theaters out of business, so ours will be at the old Palace Theater in Seguin.
There's just nothing like see it on the big screen!!!It doesn't happen very often. When I pulled up,there was ******,Hoovs42,Cornerinfool,HellboundG***er,GreaseJunkey,Photofink,soon to be joined by Capt Morgan and some other HAMBers. It was great! My son has watched it with me many times, but it doesn't compare to the BIG screen. A memory I will cherish forever...
Good times fer sure...I'm gonna try to contact the owner of the theatre to see if we can arrange some additional showings of other flicks. I'd love to see The Hollywood Knights on the big screen as well! Any other suggestions?
No kidding. That was great....if you talk to him, make sure you emphasize the car club thing....they are always interested in big draws. How bout Two Lane Blacktop, Vanishing Point, and Dirty Mary Crazy Larry?
