HAMBrs, Eddyville is a neat place and a hop, skip, & jump from the Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville. Always reminded me of street racing after the sun went down. Stop thru the town of Pella's original town square and load up on good eats, ain't nothing like a fresh dutch letter. Randy used to live around the corner from me, the first paint job on that vette (early 90s?) was better IMO. Definitely one of the best known cars in central Iowa.
Hey breeder...That would be me. Here are some pics from the first 2 years. It is a nostaligia race and is a great weekend! We will also be having the World Fuel Altered Nationals on Aug. 15 & 16.
The original motor from my 1957 Desoto Adventurer ragtop turned up in a rail that was raced at Eddyville back in the 60s. Glad to see Edyyville is still going strong.
Does Karl Moyer "official vehicle supplier of the IHRA" still own that track, or has it changed hands?
Moyer sold out a couple of years ago to two guys from the Cordova, IL track. They took in a partner who now manages the Eddyville track. They also manage the Cedar Falls track and have formed the Midwest Bracket Alliance a**** the 3 tracks.
This is going to be a great event,..bigger than last year all cars welcomed,...I will be bringing the Veneys Vega now callled,..Vic`s Vega.... come on out fun fun fun...... Thanks
Just a reminder come one come all,. bring your hot rods out to play and meet others from the draglist, and the Hamb,..fun fun fun thanks Vic Miller
