This 1958 International pick-up was built by Silhouettes member James Cosen of Drummond, Montana. It now sits on a late model Mercury chassis and runs a 302/C4/8".

Skajaquada: You guessed it. The Graham cab is getting 6" cut out of the top. I found it in Iowa. It was an old department of transportation truck. I am picking up a '57 Chevy 235 6 cylinder for it this weekend.
I'll be in Salt Lake this summer for a race at Miller Motorsports Park. Yours better be on the road by then. I'd like to see it.

    Australian built RHD Utility coupes.
I imported the two of them from a collector in Queensland OZ about 4 years ago. They are both 1956 even though they use the 54 American Plymouth body. They made 505 of the Plymouths and there are 3 currently known in the states and the Desoto is my keeper with only 275 made and this is the only one I know of here in the states.

They are factory modified bodies based off a 4-door sedan platform and only made in OZ.

I just bought the remains of a '60 Desoto, no pictures camera fried it self this morning. It's not pretty at all, but it's something 'til I find a '57-60 Effie in my price range.

You bought a 1960 Desoto truck?
Where did you get it? They were only made for export!

  15. The green ute is an FC, note the rectangular indicator. It's also running extra trim, the flash on the front guards was from the "Standard model", the trim on the rear was from the "Special" (sedans only).

The light blue guard you can just see on the right is an earlier model FE (round indicator).

My Dad had a 2 tone gray FC Special, I learnt to drive in that car.

    FE's were manufactured from 1956
    Fc's started in 1958

Nash built these for their dealers. And when was the last time you saw a bone stock Willys? Wish it was mine!

Here's mine. Just another Cornbinder. 250 Chevy 6, 4 speed. Oops, forgot to put a box on it.

  23. Bob, did you modify the front framerails? Usually parallel leafs put the tire too far back without the fenders, not so in your case.

Thanks for clearing that up Greg, I found that picture after a quicky search and ran out of time to really look closely before I put it up.
I always thought that era of Holdens looked like miniature Trio 5 Chevvies.

My next project will either be an old Aussie ute, or a 70's Aussie muscle car - which ever avails itself first.. Family still lives in Adelaide so finding a candidate should be easy (ish)

Willys (I'm pretty sure...) pickup at the Lucky Bastards show in Minneapolis.

    Richard D,
In response to you question about my International: The front frame rails are from a frame of unknown brand, but probably Dodge. The axle is a narrowed F1 (or F100) Ford mounted on top of the springs. I use anything I can get cheap! Thanks for asking.

I got it from a friend in Michigan, he's had it for about 15 years, before that it came from a guy in Kansas, the rest is lost in history, so is the engine, title, and VIN. It looks similar to the second picture, pretty much a '60 Dodge, just as ugly anyway. I'm not sure on what I'm going to do with it, it's extremely rusty, but will NOT go to a scrap yard. I would be interested to find out how many were built, what engine they had and all that fun stuff.
