While reading Ryan's story on this car, I'm listening to Benny Goodman on the 40's channel of XM Radio... It fits just right... Great read, thanks.
Timeless........ Makes me long for simpler times........... EVERYTHING was just simpler then...... James
While I know the quality of the build on this car is better than my T..the car does share quite a few basic ideas that I incorporated in my build. Makes me feel better about my roadster. Really really nice car. Tim MBL
I've seen this hot rod,,,"in the flesh"!!!,,,,many times! (Not to rub it in) But there is a craftsmanship, charm & soul that you can you obtain by physically seeing this car. The icing is on the cake is while it is surrounded by billet rods, street rods, & muscle cars,,,,-- as this humble rod rolls in the crowd always rolls towards it...with good reason
Absolutely period perfect.......it is a credit to the guy that he hasn't deviated fromt he stance and look that is correct for this car. The spec sheet is the icing on the cake and shows the attention to detail. It should be compulsary reading for everyone on the HAMB. Thank you for sharing Ryan.
Very nice. Just one question: Does he actually smoke that pipe while he's driving? They're hard to get lit while you're just standing still! -Dave
that thing is one definition of absolutely perfect. one of many on the hamb IMO. this place is full of rides that scream the same word, perfection. In all sorts, sizes, styles, and flavors. This thread just tells the Jalopy Journal quality story.
Dowie's (spelling!?) car is amazing.. it's even 10 times cooler in person! Hey Dowie (sorry again if the spelling is bad!) if you're reading this send me private message.. I lost your card after that Mcdonald's show over the summer -Jake
So were all in agreement then, perfectly exacuted hot rod! As for the tech. sheet, talk about spreading the Gospel. P.S. dig the fishtails.
Thanks for all the great responses and feedback. The spec sheet is a little over the top, but it's the only way my monkey brain could keep track of things. I refer back to it all the time. Yes, I do smoke that corn cob pipe while I'm driving. Dowie
