Help identify old COE

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by vintageozarks, Jan 13, 2008.

  1. I have located this old COE and the owner thinks it a 1950 but after looking around I think its about 1940 or earlier. What do you think?

I'd guess 37-38 because of the shape of the grill. it'll make a nice truck for sure.

I am building the exact same COE in the shop right now for a customer.. It is a 1940 Chevy according to his paperwork..We put it on a disk braked motorhome chassis.. It has the same dash, doors, grill, etc as yours.... Jason

The Upper Grill Molding Looks To Be 39-40 Chevy.

  5. It looks very close to Norman Housemans 42 Dodge Coe

  6. It is defiantly a Chevrolet according to the script.

  9. ...most likely a 40 Chevy as 39's had a flat dash panel,(at least the pickups did) 40's had the curved one like yours, nice condition it looks like.

The 39 and 40 look similar outside.. It is the inside that is diff... His dash matches the dash in the 40 my shop is rebuilding... Jason.
