I ordered parts on Friday, I'll Have them on Monday. I know that Im only one state away. But thats Kickin' It in The A**! And they were big parts, not just a valave cover or something. And i got in before the dead line of them paying for the shipping! Hey....any way to get them on board for a HAMB vendor? or has this been tried? Were we refused?
I usally get my stuf the next day. I just got a bill from them yesterday saying they forgot to charge me fo sales tax. Kinda pissed me off they want another 33 bucks. they screw up on just about every order I place with them. this last time I got chrome model a tail light mounts instead of the stainless tail lights and I got stainless tierod instead of black. I guess I'll have to call them on monday and get it straighted out. When I have a big order I usally call it in and then just drive down and pick it up. Its only about 80 miles. It would be nice if they were a hamb vender. I have told them about the hamb before and Marty said he was going to check em out.
Wow..Ive ordered from them quite a few times when building my 53 Chevy and had absolutly no problems with them whatsoever. I usually do the ordering on line and fill out the sheet on my own, so that kinda has me on my game if there is anything wrong with my order..This time I called it in, I hope this will not be the first time they screw up on me. Guess time will tell, a few things were back ordered. But thats ok it isnt that important at this time in my build. Maybe Marty needs to be reminded about us? I may have to make another call on Monday and jar his memory..or maybe every HAMBer who buys from them should make it known we are a force to be reconed with!?? maybe? ..no?
We're lucky to have one of the original speed shops still around. Speedy Bill has done a good job keeping the flame going all these years. I've never had a problem with any orders. It would be great to get them on board. Seems like this has been covered before.
Better edit your title before the spelling police get you Oh yeah, unless they moved NE, it's 4 states away sweetie
I usually get my stuff from them in about 2 days... haven't had any problems and it would be nice to have them as an alliance vendor...
the only issue i ever had was they sent me the a corvair box instead of the vega box i ordered. but it was taken care of promptly. i have bought a bunch of stuff from them, overall i am happy. there was some talk last year about making them an alliance vendor......anyone know more about this?
It takes me three days But consider I live up here. I still think thats pretty quick. Man do I get raped on shipping though. 10 percent would be sweet.
I've mentioned it to them before, and I definitely wasn't the first one to bring it up. I know of at least a couple people that work at Speedway that are pushing for them to become an Alliance Vendor. One of them just got promoted to the Marketing Dept., so we'll see if she can get them to take another step towards joining the Alliance as a Vendor. There are Speedway employees that are HAMB members and lurk/post on the board.... so they definitely know we are here! Malcolm
I ordered a bunch of stuff a couple of weeks ago via the internet. I placed the order and within a few minutes, I got a survey request from them. The only issue I had was a couple of the part numbers would not show up in the search. I did find the parts listings myself. The next morning, I received an email stating that they also tried searching with the part numbers and it didn't work for them either. The lady asked me to verify the numbers and to assure me the problem would be fixed immediately. It was. Well, I think that speaks volumes about Speedway and, particularly, Speedy Bill's desire to keep customers happy. In this day of "what do you want? Give me the card number" kind of service, Speedway is a breath of fresh air. My order arrived quickly and was in perfect shape. I've never had a problem with them and will continue to support guys like Speedy that still "get it". I hate Chinese stuff too but, nowadays, that's about all that's available. Can't blame them for selling it. Long live Speedway. Mike
Yep..Denise you are right!..I didn't catch it till I let it out of the gate! sorry to every one out there in perfect spelling world..and to all those perfect typers..I work on cars.. and Again alseep at the switch..(didnt have my coffee this morning or this after noon and had another vendor on the mind whenI typed that)..Guess I was all Fucked up today! HA! not that thats anything new...But still I had one good thing to say...lets get them on board...pressure guys pressure..(and gals too)
It takes 4 days for me but I am along ways away. I am very, very, very happy with them. Havent bought much for the rod but all of may race cars run on speedway parts
don't get me wrong I think speedway's great and its also great that they are right down the road from me. I think the mistakes made are from the young guys with not much experience. Just about everytime I goe in there I see new faces. I guess its hard for them to find good help too. I buy alot of parts from them and will continue to buy from them.
If youve done business with them a while ( I have) then you know whats good and whats bad.. I too am pretty picky with them.. Kicken is also a Dealer and thats who i went thru .. Good to know you are too.. Dave
-My son's pedal car, and all the goodies I asked for for Christmas arrived quickly, in good shape, and were top quality. But, then-again this is the first time that we've dealt with them. I might not be so lucky next time I guess...
I have only had good experiences with them. I already posted a story about their great customer service. The last survey I filled out was for a one part order that was like $6.95 shipping. I was actually ordering from them because Summit shipping was like 5 bucks more. I told them I thought the shipping was little high. I got a very appologetic reply the next day saying I payed exactly what it cost them to ship UPS. Good enough for me. CHAZ
...I've been ordering from them lately with very good results so far; I usually order online cuz it's 24/7 available. Hope they never go out of business. They keep adding new stuff all the time. I wish they'd sell orig. style steel wheels in different sizes/widths reasonably, they'd sell a bunch.
always get my stuff in two days ,never messed up my order, getting some goodies for my car from them this week.
The best company I have dealt with in a long time. Everything I have ever gotten arrived on time. In fact, the last thing I ordered came a day early! I've dropped about 1K to them the last 4 months and they are TOP NOTCH. I order online and sometimes call first to talk to a tech about what I'm considering using the part for. They saved me from ordering the wrong shifter for my car. Truly a blessing among a lot of shady vendors out there.
They really have their $#!+ together. They have lots of nice stuff......they keep getting better and better.
They have a lot of stuff you can not get any where else. And the best prices, most of the time, on parts that are also available elsewhere. I try to have the part numbers for the items I want when I call. Never had a problem.
MY BAD! I'm not sure what I was thinking there. I guess I thought you had to be a member before you can be a vendor. HEHE
They are the best I have made tons and tons of orders. Prolly about 15 orders for each build I have done and around 6 ground up builds and when they offer the free shipping ohh baby all hell brakes loose on the key board. One time a pair of headers came to me with a tiny ding in it and they were chorme so I called them up because the chrome was a little messed up and the lady said "Please send those back to us and well pay the shipping" I said fine shipped them out and 4 days later recieved a brand new set of headers that were packaged extreamly well. They really do have there stuff together and are a major part to every build I do.
I have always received my orders in 3 days to MI, not bad. On several orders when I wanted something "raw steel" they send stainless, or when a splined quick release hub is ordered, in comes the hexed version. At least they did what they could to fill the order and not hold up your whole box of goodies. Long live Speedway
