Swaps are hit or miss. I just do have the time to spend if there not going to be a high concintration of vintage parts.

    For those that care:D

ChevyGirlRox and I have decided that we are going to visit the NHRA Museum on the Friday morning of the GNRS.... so, if anyone wants to join us we'd love to have the company. We will be there when the doors open and then walk over to the Roadster show when their doors open at noon.

  7. I went to the swap meet yesterday, and it was awesome, it was a good day for early Ford parts, if you are there for some later stuff you wont find anything, besides Chevy chrome shit, etc.

I heard it being falsely billed on the radio as the largest vintage car swapmeet on the west coast, which I thought that the Big 3 in San Diego held those honors.

When you go to the Santa Maria show on Memorial Day weekend, there will be a free (to buyers and sellers) auto related swap at the Nipomo Swap Meet, just off the 101, on Mon. Check it out, some good stuff shows up.

Man thanks for the great pics. Just be thankful to be in SoCal, as far as car related events there ain't shit happening out here (North Carolina). About the only thing to look forward to is GoodGuys at Charlotte. As far as parts almost everything is mail order. They have the Charlotte AutoFair which is probably similar to how you describe Pomona. I grew up in San Fernando Valley and go out to Cali. about once every year or 2 so I am not just talking out of my ass. Be glad you have what you have it could be worse.

I thought the swap was fine. Weather was good, sunny and 70's. I took my shopping list with me, and got half the stuff I was looking for, and leads on a couple of the other items. I don't know where to find a better swap meet than that one. I drove 500 miles on Saturday to be there for 4 hours and drive 500 miles home..........and I'll do it again, I'm sure.
By the way, I was told George Cross died a week or so ago..........true?

Don't you think a lot of it is simply the supply drying up? Just not reservoir of old car stuff out there anymore, and I suspect its everywhere, not just the big meets. I agree that Long Beach probably has more stuff per square inch, but a lot of it is Chebby, and not that old. But you can always pick up those big bundles of old diapers for polishing.

  16. Gee,thanks guys!!! I had my phone on vibrate and didn't hear Dreadman calling me. He was cruising with Bumpstick and Munster.
