Hi guys, Maybe you have an idea. I been pondering what to do to hold the front of my roadster top to the windshield stanchions on my 29. I have shortened and slanted back the stanchions, welded them to the cowl, removed the windshield frame and the cowl rail. I created a channel down the stanchions, and into the top of the cowl and have slid a piece of gl*** into the channel and cowl for a frameless windshield. I also welded up all of the holes in the stantions and cut off the stantions below the old windshield pivot points which consequently removed the studs that the irons fasten to. I have been looking at/for a "small" hook type of latch (kinda like a 40 convert) that I can bolt to a cross header channel on the top irons which could then hook to the stanchions via a hole or a eyebrow of sorts. Sorry, long winded but... Any sweet looking ideas? Too much in a '29...again!
good lookin ride , why not do your introduction and then post your question to the board , you will get a much better repounce..
