    guys need your input

i am getting ready for our city auction that my tow company has occasionally and i am about to take possesion of a 2000' international dump truck, wouldn't it be cool to chop the top about 8 to 10 inches, since theirs about 16" of window, and channel the body to sit about 2" off the ground and give the old girl a mini truck box dropped as well

thinking of doing this using a 40 pickup frame????

this would be powered by a bbf or bbc with no hood and get rid of the dump box mind you this is a medium duty cab like a 1 1/2 ton range

any help would be great on this idea

man, you're probably gonna get flamed for this post.....

that being said, why not use S-10 frame? unless you already have the '40 frame hanging around??

good luck, sounds interesting, but it'll get squashed here.

the H.A.M.B police are just around every corner! :)

I'd think someone would put a pretty serious bid on that unless it was a total.
If I was going to cut a big truck down to hot rod size it would be a long nose Pete or Kenworth with one of the old square bodies.

I've thought of doing an old log truck that way, but the ones I were looking at were older like from the 60's. But I want to keep the big frame & running gear. Build what'cha want, when your all done you can post a pic or two on here just put OT first so the guys don't "flame" you. I'll check it out!

    Later- John
