Tell me about it, I've been trying to get a dash waterfall trim piece for months; these things are bringing ridiculous prices on ebay, even for hashed out ones.

The '35 always looked like it has too much trunk, or too little hood.

As far as people updating their cars in the 30s, remember that grills had looked the same for many years, but now the artdeco styling was starting to become popular, and the 35 to 36 conversion was a simple swap.

....But what ?....if I wanna build a taildragger cuz that's what I think is beautiful, and somebody tells me it's wrong ?.....that's a joke !....get your own 35/36 and do whatever ya want with it and leave me alone.....when I sell it to build my next car, the new owner can jack up the back and flame the door panels and have a ball..........

paucho ive got 2 '35s funnily enough none of them are jacked up or have flames on them but none of them are taildraggers either, sorry i dont follow fashion...

  8. Of course if we'd all just build circle track cars out of them, when you don't like someone else's paint job you could just rub hard passing him and settle the argument that way.

hello all, i posted on some parts a few days ago and got replies from , hellonwheels , and irish mike , i sent a pm back to them but haven`t seen anything from them , i`m pretty new on here and replies i made may not have got thru.the prices i want for the parts are open and i would prefer to get them to someone who needs them, i dearly hate to think i`ve given someone a deal and later see them for sale at higher price , i will try to get a list made up and some pic`s done as soon as i can. i don`t need these parts and i feel it would be a waste for them to be stored up when a guy on a budget and needing them could use them, thanks for rehearing me

....It's not about fashion....Westergard, Barris bros...and many others built those cars as taildraggers back in the 40's....my point is....how can you tell a guy not to build what he wants because it's not to your taste?....If everyone built the same style, that would be just boring....for example, I love 32 highboys, but man, a lot of them are starting to look the same....it's a great look, but I've seen it to many times, it's getting just boring....and I love chopped 49/51 Mercs, but it's the same story....everybody just do what you want....and don't try to dictate what's right or wrong....diversity is what is so cool about rods and customs....we don't want to start sounding like restoration guys.........

I am also building a '35-some parts have been expensive (I bought two sets of Trunk Hinges before they were reproduced, still have one). I agree that the interest for these Cars has definitely increased, and the Parts will keep going up-I love the looks of a '35 (and '36's ain't too shabby either)-

I am surprised that someone hasn't offered Fenders for these Cars-there is a tremendous demand out there-

Good question Sellers, ha ha ha! You should swing by O'Reilly's, I work with Klem and Jason now...I am sure everyone would be stoked to see you.

As for the parts, I have been having good luck getting stuff and I already put together a rolling chassis. Should have this thing on the street before summer.

Once priced some parts for an old corvette i was restoring. Guy quoted me the price and I said holy crap that is high. Why so much I ask? He said when you finish your car how much do you estimate it will be worth. I said approximately $50,000. He said well do you expect to buy parts cheap for a $50,000 car. That has always stuck in my little pea brain and he was right! Supply and demand always determines price. 35 and 36 are getting more popular (demand) And supply is getting shorter every day. Long time ago I bought a complete 35 ford coupe less engine for $20 and a 40 ford coupe less engine and tran for $15 (supply) Money doesn't go as far as it did back then but both of those were dirt cheap even then. Thanks, BOBBY FORD

I have a 36 ford 3 window coupe for sale and cant shift it .. tell me again, who wants these ? I believe its a myth.. perpetuated to force up prices.. mine is a complete car right down to window garnishes, every thing to complete its sheet metal repair, its original rolling chassis PLUS a full hot rod chassis based on another set of 36 rails.. and all for under $25000....It must be the airbagged tail draggin stance and the LaSalle grille thats putting folks off.. If I believe the pish thats disscused on here, thats sooo last year...
