Is Garage Magizine R.I.P???

I have not seen one at the local supermarket lately??
I was looking forward to reading the article about the Purple People Eater... That everyone was talking about!! I really dig that car...
So I guess my question is did JJ pull it off the shelfs or what??

 

I remember reading somebody else saying that the next issue wouldn't be out until Feb.

Yes, Stoner was hired away by GQ, Jesse is too busy with his Hydrogen lakes car so they sold the ***le to the folks that publish Sunset who have yet to do anything with it.

 

i remember a thread a little while back about them having subscription or ware house problems. they'll get it sorted out.

Pat Ganahl did a stint as Editor of Sunset Mag. way back when.

 

Ha, had to google Sunset to see what it was. Then again, I decorate my house with car parts and Chinese lead painted childerns toys.

And there is a great Braised Pork w/ Salsa Verde Recipe in the newest issue, the crockpot should be turning on about the time I type this.

 

I heard it was purchased by Oprah Winfrey.
It will feature garage tips, interviews with celebritys such as Tom "Spaceman" Cruise, Martha "Cellblock 7" Stewart, George Bare-*** and Chip Fooseball.

I've considered moonlighting for Sunset myself, but I'm really holding out for a gig with Highlights.

Sure, she's even got her own tv network now. Besides, Garage isn't a car magazine, it's a lifestyle magazine. That's something Stoner has harped on forever. And they sure do aim for the high cl*** clientele. How many guys on here buy the limited edition WCC threads at Neiman-Marcus (as were advertised in the mag a couple of issues ago)? Anyway, maybe if Stoner did get hired away by GQ they'll promote that David Burge guy to Managing Editor. He always comes up with cool ****!

Frankly who cares the mag ****ED ***!!! right in the hairy sweaty part. No cars articles worth **** all hair and tatoos and ****. Might as well be a womans mag. Through in some tampon ads and there you have it.

 

I actually dig the mag. In fact there is great article on the '36 Ford built by Cole Fosters that I pick up last weekend. Does it exist? YES Is it a tech magazine? No. Does it have great stories about some unknow hot rod and custom heros? YES. Is it a GREAT ****IN MAGAZINE? Well I've already proven that.

 

So do firey newbies who use foul language so rampantly...this isn't the M.F.H.A.M.F.M.B. Cinders and ashes, man. Highlights won't tolerate that kind of potty mouth talk.
