who's goin to the HRR in Bowling Green next month????

..you better have a DAMN good excuse if you miss this one. we are gonna miss Indy the previous weekend (which is a great show) because this show flat out ROCKS!!!! the "Cackle Fest" alone is worth the price of admission. all the vintage dragsters and gassers makin runs down the quarter all weekend and the largest collection of "HAMB style" cars this side of ANYWHERE!

i'll be debuting my new ride down there and hopefully Mongo will be ridin shotgun (his Olds won't be ready for the road by then). if you miss this show you WILL regret it!!

Guilty....unless something comes up, me and Kustm52jr will be there...don't have a room yet, I'm sure they're all full by now...anybody got any info on rooms outside of Bowling Green? Or any local semi-roach free places that might not show up on an online search?

we will be shackin' at the travelodge.
quite a few older guys from our car club going up,
leavin their wives at home.
they will prolly' try some foolish shit like staying up till 9 pm.
we gotta' do a HAMB meet and greet for sure,
and i know it has already been discussed,but lets finalize it during the week prior to the hrr,that way my dumb ass can probably remember it for a few days!

But I'm an "old" guy. And my car's painted. And doesn't have red wheels. And has an interior. Oh well.

 

Me and Big Olds will be there. Took that Thursday and Friday off work. Really looking forward to it.

 

As of now, me and Chris50 will be heading down for the festivities. His 50 sedan is close to firing up, but nowhere close to taking it to BG.

Any ideas on hotel rooms?? This is major last minute for us.

 

We'll be there Friday morning and will stay the weekend. Probably meet Butt and his dad and caravan to BG with them. It's gonna be another great weekend. See you guys there.

Sammy's back yard is nice and soft for sleeping on... or maybe that was just the air mattress i brought with me!! i'll have the wife with me this year and she does'nt camp, so we'll be roughin it in a local hotel or motel, proly in Glasgow, cause i hear Bowling Green is all filled up. i imagine Mongo will camp out with you though Sam, hell if i end up over there drinkin again i might end up crawlin in Mongo's sleeping bag with him! just kiddin, did'nt mean to get you hopes up Jeremy ...

Mike, I'm just wondering what you and Mongo were doing to those dogs to make them howl all night???? Sammy and I were out there for quite a while and they did'nt make any noise. Hope they did'nt have any funny looking litters...the dogs that is!!!

 

well I did'nt do anything to the dog but i do rememeber waking up and Mongo being missing from the tent. i thought he and Sammy were----- nevermind, i'm not going to encourage you anymore you SICKO!!

 

whats really weird is that the dog hasn't barked since...
Mongo must have traumatized that poor dog!

A thirty minute drive isn't a big deal. Keeping one of us sober enought to tackle that drive would be. I think I'll cut off at 2:00 and be the designated driver.

Hey Butt...I just booked a room at the Glasgow Comfort Inn on Calvary Dr. Is that a decent hotel?

Not too bad a price either - $59.00 a night for a king size. If anyone else is interested, and Butt confirms this is a decent place to stay....lol...go to www.comfortinn.com and book it

yeah,actually the ones i posted on that link are the only ones id recommend! hahaha.comfort inn is cool. there are a few more hotels but i wouldnt recommend them.

 

About a month or so ago, there ws a thread about the HRR and having a HAMB get together on Friday night. Does anyone know if this is still happening. I think the site was a grocery store parking lot or something.
