Videos of me sliding down my driveway, apologizes for the lack of light. My digital camera doesn't have a night mode for videos. Edit: Nothing says redneck like sledding on a trash can lid...which is what I was using.
Was sitting out here in South Padre Island this afternoon getting a suntan at 59F. Had the beach all to ourselves, the locals were walking by with sweaters and jackets on. The beach was a little flakey after a low with rain and wind p***ed through yesterday. Surf's up! Where's all the guys around here in Texas that I read about. Last old car I seen was back in my garage January 1st as I pulled the door down. Drove 2254 miles down here and other than a small car show last Saturday at Las Freznos on Highway 100 (20 cars), we haven't seen anything. WTF!!!
Holy ****!! Its a party at the Dog Patch!! We got sledz beer fireworks and wimin! Damn .... I thought I moved to the SOUTH
looks like you guys are freakin out too much...... head up north and visit for a few days.....it's supposed to be a high of 6 degrees tomorrow!
Here's some super lame snowmen I made. Keep in mind we southern folks aren't pros at making snow people.
My buddy just moved to Atlanta from Pennsylvania & I was talking to him about an hour ago. He said it was snowing & everyone was freakin' out. He got a big kick out of that. Maybe he shouldn't have sold his plow?
THIS IS SNOW GUYS! I drove through northern Georgia in March 1991 with about 1" on the ground. I had to laugh at the drivers crawling around. I was like a shark a**** the baitfish! Just like slaloming around pylons
Been getting some snow for about 3 hrs. Hope there is some when we wake up tomorrow. Got all the ATV'd g***ed up and ready for play time.
yes yes we know it snows up north. thats great. we'd rather just get real excited about our inch of snow once every 4 years. it seems anymore than that and people start acting like a bunch of ***holes. slide down that drive way one time for me country boi!!.. im stuck in Anaheim workn..so cal blows! my girl made a snow man also. and yeah thats horse **** eyeballs. and i found a lil snow myself up here Big bear.
I hope they don't have to call out the National Guard to stop the food riots at Wal Mart because of the near blizard conditions at Billys house.
Your car sits in a heated garage. WTF do you want the roads shut down for, ya' ****er?? You're building it indoors. Besides, if the state was shut down, that means the parts stores wouldn't be open, so there'd be no reason to go anywhere anyway. I imagine if it gets too 'cold' in the shop you could go back to watching your 10 tape set of Floyd Cotterpins "The idiots guide to building deuce roadsters". Pull the string; the cotton will come right out...Get back to work.
Very funny. The snow here is over my head. And I'm 6'7". There isn't much to do with hot rods here in the winter. Though I do know that when you do cookies in the parking lots in yer roadster during the storm, the cops just watch the fun.
Being a displaced Yankee, I was trying to explain to my Florida-born and raised wife, and Florida-born, Georgia-raised son that this isn't snow; it's a heavy frost, with style. They weren't buying it. They were outside playing for two hours, along with the dog. We finally had to call the dog and the boy in to go to bed, and they BOTH pouted about it. They also don't get that up North, we use grits under the rear tires for traction, so I don't know why I'm surprised by their reaction to the dusting. -Brad
It's all in the eye of the beholder, Brad. In my boys minds, it was snowing and school was out for the rest of the week, to me, it was a nice flurry, Mrs. Yankee grew up in Buffalo, NY, so it's not snowing until there's at least a foot of the white stuff on the ground!
Snow alert over Here in Rockingham...Still, with all turned to rain washing away the white stuff ,They delayed school opening 2 hours. DUH
hahaha! bravo mr. carnine. they're all huddled in a corner somewhere coming up with an over intelligent explanation for this catastrophy!
YUCK. I don't care if it is a millimeter, of 10 feet of that stuff. Y'all can keep it. as soon as one little flake of that **** hits the ground, I turn into a little old man. Now, next summer, when it is 114 in the shade for 4 weeks, I will tell you how Happy I am. nothing hurts, no additional layers of clothing, and no chance of rain...LOVE IT.
Here's something not seen here very often. Not refering to the cars but the white stuff on then that gives them a little more appealing look.
cheeze,we had more snow than we did rain all summer...go figure this was a good snow, white at 5:00 p.m.,gone by 9: 00 p.m.
Snow! That aint snow, that's a "dusting" .....This is snow, Jan. 2nd this year at my house, we got about four more inches after i took the pic, didn't close the schools and no one missed work. My kid lives in Raleigh and has great stoies about the "snow" they get there.....last time they got an inch the schools were closed for three day, even though the snow melted the day after it fell!!!!
Move to Copper Harbor, Michigan and you will get use to snow. Their record snow is 399 inches in one winter. One of my favorite places to snowmobile.
Had to use the ole snow blower here again this morning. I'm getting more miles put on that damn thing than I am my rides. HellRaiser
