I have a 28 Ford front axle that looks like it is kinked back on both ends slightly when you look straight down at it from the motor side of it. I have had this thing sitting here to use and i was tearing it down to sand blast it and it looks bent, but i don't know..... Any help would be appreciated ASAP. Thanks , Rick
If it's bent, straighten it. There ain't no black magic about that piece of steel. Ford sevice instructions call for cold bending to achieve camber specs. u
im standing here looking at my old 1928 axle and my new superbell 4" drop axle..sorry dude they are both straight as an arrow..maybe the previos owner parked by feel..you know? slaming into parking curbs to know he was in deep enough
Mine was bent too. Put dowels thru the kingpin and spring perch holes so you can see how things align. Use a press to bend it back into shape...
