how low can i go ? lowering a 48 chev coupe how to???????

ok I have a 48 chevy coupe stock ( 16" wheels - 216 chev I6 - 3spd mantran- torque tube enclosed driveline and rear end) now i wanna leave it stock (cuz i aint got no money for a rear end) how low can i go ?? in the back using blocks and taking out springs has any body done this will the driveline bind how can i do this and how low can i go .. any help would be cool thanks

 

I got a 48 with the same deal but to help you with this I had a 49 fastback Ilowered myself with 3-5 which ever you perfer and a coiland 1/2 will put you down and mine didn't bind
