pm messages

i have replied to several people about some parts i have for a 36 ford coupe ,haven`t seen any replies was wondering if i am doing something wrong or since its been a week or so and one was about a month ago is it me or maybe i have bad breath?

 

no Ive noticed the same things in replying to people and I get no responses. maybe I have bad breath too haha

 

I've been stuck on 3 items now. All three guys messaged me shortly after posting the ads saying,"I'll take it- how much to ship?"

I replied back with total and where to send money order. All three guys message back that they would get the money order sent right out and then weeks go by and nothing. One guy was local and I agreed to meet him to cut his drive down a little. The deal hinged on him calling me back to set up a time. Never heard a thing.

What really makes me mad is I had other guys also interested that I had to reply to with 'item spoken for I'll keep you in mind' but after a couple weeks they may have found parts elsewhere or are no longer interested.

Then Thursday night I PM'd a guy about a truck he had just listed here, saying "I'm interested in the truck, local and have cash to deal. Send me some pics of the truck and when can I come and look at it?"

I finally hear back from him this evening and it's just been listed on the bay!! Jeez if you're going to list it on the H.A.M.B. why not give your fellow HAMBers that show interest the decency of replying to messages and pic requests before you list it elsewhere?!!! Especially if they are an hour away and can make a deal face to face rather than take the risk with the bay.

Just my ranting and I am grateful for Ryan and all the moderators efforts to keep up the cl***ifieds. You guys deserve way more credit than you get.
