Lots of variety at this show. Let's start out with the show cars from the Darryl and Cliff Starbird.

My favorite car of the show was McPhail's 56 Chevy. Also pictured here is Elden ***us show car. And the Texas Bikini girls looked like they were ready for the beach.

The weather is in the teens but it's warm inside and lots of cool cars to look at for a $17 admission charge. I know that's not cheap. You decide.

Also featured at the show was a panel jam. Seven pinstripers worked on a panel for 2 minutes and then p***ed it to the next guy. Then another 2 minutes of striping and p*** it down again, and so on. I didn't know all the guys but did recognize my favorite striper Ron Meyers from Tulsa, OK who is not seen in this photo.

This one was the dirtiest car at the show. I sold this sedan to a young rodder a few months ago. It is now an unfinished rod that he drove 30 miles to the show. It's crude but I got to give him credit. He made it to the show.

I was supposed to be a vendor at that show - sorry to the few guys who had emailed me about bringing some Rat Fink stuff down to them.....
I 80 was shut down outside Des Moines for hours - and the radio was saying I 35 was bad as well - It takes me 9 hours to drive down there and I knew I would not have enough time to set up on Friday to be ready for the show. (This is ***uming I made it down there - there were over 50 vehicles in the ditches from the Mississippi River to Des Moines)

Anyway - I hope those same people will see me at the Tulsa show - I will be sure to pay attention to the weather this time and if I need to leave a day early - I WILL!!!!!

Hope to make it next year for the Wichita show.

    Later

Here is some of the highlights of the kool stuff that I saw this weekend....

The '59 Chevy removable hard top was way too kool. I can't imagine the
work involved to get this to work. I wonder if it leaks???

    Happy Trails,

I had B-ball games most of the day on Friday. We drove up at the last minute
on Sunday.... Stayed for a couple and had to head back home. Oklahoma
borders shut down at 6:00 pm.

Your Hot Rod looked kool with the new shoes....

    Happy Trails,
