    SCORE!
Been working on getting this '30 "A" Sedan body from a good friend of mine in Kansas City for 6 months. My father-in-law is up there selling his home, and went and picked it up today and put it in his enclosed trailer.
They will be heading back here to Florida in a couple of weeks.
All of this time I've had to think about the stance, at***ude, drivetrain package, etc..... and now I have to find the right pieces to make it all happen.
Decisions, decisions.... I've built over 20 HotRods, mostly Drag style, because I really like the look.
**** this time, I'm uncertain, as my wife and I really "DRIVE" our HotRods, and with GAS prices cutting into the Fun-Factor, it has challenged me to look at alternative power-plant ideas.

Just wanted to share my excitement of a 47 year old-man, my youngest son (16) is going to be involved with this project and I'm looking forward to it.

Happy Days are a coming! [IMG]

Get you a Racer Walsh catalog and build a Sick Dog 2.3 Ford four popper...couple it to a Turbo Coupe 5-speed and an 8" rear with 3.90 or so gears and you'll have a semi-economical 8500rpm screamer to play with on the street and at da track!

That's cool... I am not too sure that I like the blue fenders that you are running in the rear, but it will go over well in Florida...
You gonna run a single tire up front? trike huh?
    That will be boss! [IMG]

Just being a little bit of a smart***...
    That looks clean!
I bet there are some Kansas boys on here shating themselves that that A was in thier backyard and they are loosing it to Fla!!!!

Trust me, I've been giving the 4 cyl. ideas ALLOT of thought, and being that I'm in the Automotive Engine Aftermarket business, all kinds of ideas are popping up their heads.
I built a 2.6 Mitsubishi Turbo for my oldest sons (22) Starion 3 years ago. With a factory turbo and lot's of "Tweaking", it would FLAT-SPANK Buick Grand Nationals and Mustangs all day long.

    HANKCASH,

Oh, You can bet that the KC guys will be surprised.
My buddy has had the body for over 15 years, and he always told me that if he never got around to building it, that I could have 1st shot at it.
It was perfect timing, as I just finished our '41 Willys primered-G***er, and sold it the 1st weekend I drove it.
I have a '30 Coupe (pictured) that is going to welcome this old sedan home. [IMG]

  8. What is really cool is that your son is going to get involved. I got hooked at about 14. My dad and I are like best friends because of the cars. He needed a good excuse to relive his youth anyway. My 3 and 4 year olds are just not a very good excuse yet - just ask my wife. It is great.
Plus sedans are just plain COOL!!! [IMG]

Put a Quad 4 in it with a 5 speed there is someone who makes the kit. and if I remember they said that they will run 12s in a model A. they look like a offy when stripped down. Look on zippers roadster site I think they have a link to there site.

I got 3 sons, 22 , 20, 16 years old. They all have been envolved up to this point which is WAY-COOL, and my oldest has a MAJOR Car Nut.
The neat thing now is that it will be just Casey and myself, the others are gone. So we will have some interesting times, as our taste differ allot [IMG]
He likes the CUSTOM look with 18 & 20" wheels, and that OK, **** this is MY car [IMG]

    AHotRod,

My guess is that your 5 window doesn't fair to bad against a GN/Mustang either....

It's good to to a guy bringing 'em up right...Maybe some of your taste will rub off on him.

Ohh and where were those Model A pics when I was asking for them? That black/green sedan is neat as hell.

Great looking body! Good luck on your project.
How great that your son will be helping you on it.
I too did the same with my sons. Let him come up with a few ideas of his own for it. It will give him a great incentive to keep interested.
My oldest son helped me every step of the way building my 50 pickup years ago. I lost him to a car accident a few years ago. But the pickup always gives me great memories of the time I had with him.

Yes the 4 can be made to go, but spanking Grand Nationals, must of been Regals. Mustangs I can understand. Are you sure they were racing? Not trying to dis ya but the reality of that statemnet doesn't work for me. Of course I've been to the Grand National/T-Type meets and watched them go 10's all day long, some of them dipping even lower....

    And great looking A.
