Got this clutch/brake master cylinder hanging pedal ***embly from a company called ECI. I like this piece a lot.....I didn't have any room for anything under the floor, and I didn't want a willwood setup because I don't like the cast arms or having 3 master cylinders that would be hard to get to. This one fit the space well and was made to be pretty universal. Even comes with Ford style pedal pads and bungs to weld to the arms. Also has a built in brake light switch.

I can access the brake M/C through the cowl vent. For the clutch M/C I'll make a door in the dashboard - there will be a mirroring door on the p***enger side for a glovebox and access to wiring.

Bent the brake arm a little to the left to clear the transmission tunnel and to give me some room for the gas pedal. I shortened both arms about 2.25".

    even more to come.....

Finally....started on some seats. Pretty basic....nothing like some of the much nicer versions posted here before, but this is what I came up with.

Step one.....outline your ****.....I don't think mine is really this crooked.

Hopefully your girlfriend's/wife's *** is smaller....or at least not bigger than yours...Transfered the pattern to some plywood and cut a couple out.

Pattern for the seat back. I used thumb tacks to hold the posterboard in place on the seat, worked great.

I didn't take any pictures of it because I wasn't sure how well (or if) it was going to work....but I made the sheetmetal pieces about 3/4" bigger than the pattern. I then rolled a bead 3/4" in from the edge, and later rolled that 3/4" flange around to the backside to stiffen it a bit. It kinda worked....

Once the seat back is attached to the bottom (so it can keep it's shape) I'll roll a couple beads in it to stiffen it up some more. It's kinda starting to feel like a car now....

    Thanks for looking!!!

  27. Yes, you DO know what you are doing. Nice progress shots man. Those seat backs are eerily similar to the ones I did for the Touring............I found the old pattern last night cleaning!

    Keep us posted!

Good idea on the body mounts. :p

I think Dreadman had a good post awhile ago on making seat bottoms. Springs and all.

Looks like another busy weekend. If you get bored wiht the car and want to strip some wallpaper give me a call.
