I am looking for information on speed equipment and updates for Model A & B 4 bangers. I currently am working on a 1930 Towne Sedan with a high compression OHV head built by Joe Gemsa. The car was built in the 60s and I want to bring it up to some advanced stage with the availability of today's technology without losing the outward appearance of the 40s street rod. I have heard there is a bellhousing or adaptor to put an S10 5 speed behind the 4 banger. Does anyone know about this? I would like to retain the 30's two speed columbia rear-end and the car will be a daily driver, not a racer or trailer queen.

Any help of what is out there will be appreciated.........

  2. welcome jerry . i don't know much about speed equipment for model A's ..but i do know that head is very rare. do you have any pictures you can post?

there are plenty of guys here that can answer your questions, i suggest you post your questions on the main board so they have a chance to see them and respond..this section is more for introductions and many don't check it out

T5 Try this web site, If your handy you can do it your self otherwise contact Auto Restorations 765 789 4037 for T5 set up or
stay with a closed drive that being a torque tube set up use 1985 to 1989 F150 trans, converts drops right in. you need to shorten the tube and driveshaft some. the is a shop in Ill that converts the 150 try the Model A Store in soklie.
Here in michigan there is a local Model A shop that modifies F150 trans. look for the transmission from a straight six, three speed with overdrive for fourth.
