After seeing 460willy post about his little girls car he is building made me want to post photos of my boys cars. Feel free to post cars yall have built for your kids. This is my youngest son Devon. This is my oldest son Dexters car. Made a little top for it to block the sun when he was very young.
Thats pretty sweet! my wife and i were talking about that same thing a couple of days ago, we just planned a trip to the Street Rod Nationals In Louisville Ky. And we were going to try to find something or build something we can push our two little girls around in. Did you mold the body out of glass? Let me know i might be interested inbuying a body off of you!
Bought the bodies from aeroglass.com I thank there out of business. I'm trying to find a body right now to build my best friend one for his little girl. I found several but not one like my boys have.
ya know years ago I had drew some plans for a Stroller that "grew" with the kid.....it started as a baby stroller...changed to a toddler stroller.....changed to a pedal car and finally changed to a go kart....my wife told me it was to big and a bad idea so I scratched it and now I see threads like this everywhere!!! LOL
I was gonna send you a pic by email paint101, but since you started a thread..... This what you're looking for? I was going to build it for the grandson, but he's nearly 2 now.....might as well start building a car at the rate I get things done
That was the plan here, Grow with the Kid to a pedal car and eventualy become a Go Cart for him. Guess I should have kept it here where it would have been safe. The Wizzard
earl, I have a very similar 36 body and even bought a pedal car chassis to combine, both need a little work to work togwether, but so far no progress, I think I should get my about to be 3 y/o something in 1/1 scale so there is a hope of it being done in time.
Here is Blaney's Stroller. She is too big now. It now hangs on the wall in the garge. I had more fun with this than any car of my own. People have asked to buy it but I just could not sell it. Aluminum wheels, one off steering wheel and column, naughahyde interior, AM FM CD, headlights, tailights, Fan in nose of car to blow air from an airbox under the car for the hot days, detachable handle, homemade chassis.
I don't make any claim for building it but here's some genuine '40's vintage tin my daughter has got to enjoy.
I have twin girls on the way. I can't wait to build pedal cars for them... then organize pedal car races for all the hot rodders' kids
