Hi Guys, I decided to p*** on the 1932 Chev 5 window coupe shell. So I just bought this 1935 3 window coupe, it's basicly complete, has current ***tle. I'm heading out tomorrow to pick it up from Wa. state as long as the snow stops. Anyway has anyone seen photo's of these cars as a fenderless hiboy ? I would like to hear your opinions / idea's on how it should be built. I want a chopped top for sure, I also wanted a fenderless car, but these 34/35 Chevy's look good with fenders. Thanks Jim

They're a beautiful design, IMHO. In 33-35 most of the auto makers hit home runs in their styling, GM included. For the life of me, I can't remember the company who uses a purple 34-35 chevy 3 window Hiboy as their advertising mascot...has a litttle lick of orange/yellow flames down the side...very cool looking. It's in most rodder magazines in the ads.
I got started on a 33 chevy 3 window but didn't finish it before I sold it off, a move I've regretted since.

seems that some of the non Ford brands of the 30's are overlooked but there styling is just as good or sometimes better looks like you got a good start there

I got the car back in 1984 when I was in High School in Arizona. It was owned by a Mexican family that saved it from the crusher
    [IMG]

I moved to Newport Beach and sold the car to my Dad. It was the 80's so his first build had a bit of a 80's fill to it
    [IMG]

He lost interest in the car for about 10 years and it just sat in his garage. He re-did the car a few years ago to how it looks today. Last year I got the car back from him and had it shipped over to Sweden where I live now. I have been finishing up getting the 80's billet off the car.
Here are a few more photos of the car now. It can also be seen briefly on the video's on Hanky post here http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=236751[IMG]
