Is this bumper/brush guard worth anything? My plan is to go clean and chrome with the front end, and will have no use for it. Just trying to figure out what to do with it

That was my gut feeling... I have never seen a brush guard on that body style before, so I thought I would ask.

I have seen one like it before. Maybe a Chevrolet or aftermarket add on, back when the truck was new?

wait until the sun is in a different spot. take another picture of it on the truck, then remove it and clean it up. people eat old bumper guards up on ebay. use 47 48 49 50 51 52 53 chevrolet gmc truck bumper guard for the ***le and watch the bids roll in... that's 53 characters,, you only get 55.

it's not factory, but lots of companies made gaurds for cars back then.

  8. Looks like a nice truck for the price.

If no one here wants the guard, then try ebay, if it does not sell, then s**** it.

I wish I could find one of those trucks for $500..

    Thanks guys!!

I didn't know those things were in demand at all. I will try my luck on the cl***ifieds/ebay or craigslist.

desertratrodder, I actually paid less than $500!!! The guy's wife wanted it gone. He had huge plans to make it a 4x4 and turn it into another Gravedigger. My plans are quite a bit different...

I'd call it a Grill Guard.
Back when I was a kid, they were real popular cause some car guy in front of you with power brakes would stop for a red light and you driving an old truck and not having much brakes or brains would tap the back of his car. This saved the GRILL from being dented. usually no damage to the car, cause cars had BUMPERS then. Also necessary on Ford trucks, too.
