There is a 35 Chevy 2dr Flat Back Sedan settin in the weeds with three trees (3 & 4",s ) growing up threw the top which needless to say is rotted out, to give you an idea how long its been setting, but its all there untouched or ever butchered up. The doors are there but hangin down because of the wood, There is still a lot there, hood, headlights, boards, fenders, all in tack!!! The million dollar question is ,she won,t say how much & I don,t know what to offer the little old lady????? HELP!!!!!

Check crusher prices and offer her 50.00 more. Last I heard crusher prices are around 300.00.

    $250 sounds fair

  5. Are you cutting down the trees to get car out or cutting the car to remove? If you have to cut down the trees I would offer 100+ tree debris removal. Cut car off tree, offer $250-300. Depends on what kind of work is required to get the car off the property. Sometimes you have to say its not worth the effort, Sorry.

Try charging her. It sounds like a lot of work.

    Then again, I'm pretty lazy.

In tack? Intact. cmon man. You should charge her a low price to cut down those weed trees and haul that junk off. Or really do a favor and haul it for free.

Don't insult her. If it's set there that long it obviously has value to her. Treat her with respect and ask her for a price, then make your decision.

Pay her a few hundred and offer to clean up the area where it's been sitting.

Maybe not so crazy, maybe just old/nostalgic. Maybe there are things she needs more than money-like someone to do some repairs-or repaint her kitchen-clean out the ba*****t. It's hard to find anyone to do minor projects anymore, maybe she just needs some help. So perhaps you could trade your labor and companionship for the car-win win all around. Just get the ***le.

Dude, get real, if the car could of been had for a couple hundred dollars, it would of been long gone. If you really want the car, you need to offer a respectful price, let's face it at $1000-$1500 range it would still be a steal. On Average I have paid between $1500-$3500 on my "projects" that are 70+ years old

Money is like *** and air. No big deal unless you don't have enough of it. To some people (especially old ladies in my experience), the thought of the car being loved and not rotting away may just do the trick to get it. Ask her about the car's history. If it was there when she moved in and has always been just a pile of **** in the yard, it's a couple of bills and cleanup. If it was her father's car, husband's car, or her car since new, you'll have to pull the "I want to restore it back to original" routine. If it was once the dream of her son that got killed, it is a sentimental thing for her and will likely not be for sale at any price during her lifetime.

Old people like company. They like to share their stories. At the tender age of 30, I realize that a few hours of my time spent with some old person means more to them than anything I can otherwise say or do, and certainly more than money.

****, if you can be a good listener, she'll likely GIVE you the damn car. Think about the **** she knows, what she's seen, lived through. Any time spent with a firsthand historian is a lesson you cannot otherwise learn.

OK, enough of the mushy ****. Just wait until she goes to a doctor's appointment and rip that ****er out of there with a rollback. Make sure you cut the trees and leave big ruts in the yard!;)

    bwhahahaha.....you need help!:D
up until that last part, i agree, ive had it happen to....i usually feel like i owe them money just for the stories...but had several rough rides given to me just for being polite...
just be nice, listen up, and if she dont ever give you a price, then you make a recspectable offer.

i doubt if any low offer will get it. i inquired about a 37 1ton truck from a 80 year old lady the other day and she said she knew what it was worth and wanted 5000.00, i would have to think twice to give 500. every one has a number in their mind you need her to tell what her number is.

Well, my Mom said, she would loan me the money to buy your car.
However she does not want to loan me any more than you will want
for it. Now if that don't get a price out of her - you have have lost!
